Sunday March 6th Lacygne. Fished from Noon til 515pm. All fish caught on crankbaits. Dock temp 48, spillway 58.8.

Pink Jig head with a lime green plastic jerk bait is the only thing I have caught them on at Hillsdale. Never at night tho!

I think I know what that means!!

I sat in my boat in the garage last night drank beer and watched it snow. My wife came outside and said its killin ya isnt it, I said can you hand me another beer please I am drinking away winter right now! Just looked at the weather for the weekend, it didnt work! Guess i need to drink some more beer in the boat tonight! Cheers!

Stack #1 is the main stack at Lacygne and it has been down for repairs for weeks and stack #2 has only been running at 50%. I was told stack #1 should be back up and running here shortly, what ever that means. If the wind is from the south that water pushes the fish out further if its blowing from the north it pushed them in closer. hope that helps!

I am in OP and if the weather permits it the boat goes out! Depending on water temps there are several ways to go about your business. I always try to match the hatch.

I was told by a guy I see out at La Cygne all the time that they are not discharging very much hot water right now. Does anyone know if there is a schedule of some kind for the power plant? The day we fished air temp was 27 and the water at the outlet was 48-50 in spots.

New to the board just moved back to Overland Park from ATL! Fished Lacynge last month with my neighbor Aron. Caught all fish on susp. jerk baits in 6 to 8 feet of water. Total of 15 in less than 5 hours. Was the Saturday before Christmas. Looking to go maybe this Sunday if the wind stays away! Any other crazy winter fishermen out there??
