Fished Lacygne for 10 hours Sunday, one fish maybe 2 pounds at the very end of the day, threw everything in the tackle box, shaky head, cranks, jigs black and blue, I fished almost the entire lake even ran all the way back into the river, went home not very happy!!!

Im Stuck On Five Lbs Bass
I agree with Blue your tackle might not handle one at 7 pounds, if you switch to braided line it will also allow you to cast heavy weights farther from the bank, keep in mind when casting out let the line sink to the bottom, once it hits the water its about a second a foot so count it down or wait until the line stops coming off of the spool. Try casting a 1/2 oz of 3/8 oz football jig head with a floating worm or creature bait and see what happens. Remember to use that 6 pound line as backing when spooling braid. Good Luck!!

Fished Hillsdale Saturday 7am until 1130am, WT 66 at the dam, wind picked up at a steady 18 mph, one bass short at 16 inches, called it a day and went to the house! I got checked at the ramp by DNR, the officer gave me a warning for my letters said they where not visible at 25 feet. I thought it was kinda strange becasue I have been inspected three time prior once at Hillsdale last year and twice at Lacygne and no word was mentioned about my lettering. Oh well stopped at Bass Pro on the way home and for $6 fixed the problem! Here are the before and after letters, they are now 3-D white over blue! The old are the blue.

Retro, The bass hound was my buddys he keeps at his honey hole. As for your question on crankbaits, I just try and match the hatch of the bait fish (color of crankbait), if the water is colder I just slow up my retrieve with the crankbait. If I am in 10 feet of water I am fishing any where from 5 feet to the bottom. Even better if I can bounce the crankbait off of cover or rocks. As for a quality crankbait I will spend any where from $3 to $12 on one. When you see them on sale get as many as you can afford. Cabelas had Yo-Zuri crankbaits reduced from $12 to $2.99 a while back and Bass Pro had those KVD's for $2.99 from $5.99. I just wish those Spro Little Johns would go on sale!!!!!

Is The Weather Playing A Part In This..??
If you look at a weather map and its an L for Low pressure system go Large Mouth fishing if its an H for high pressure go small mouth fishing. I like WT between 58 and 70 IMO!

Thats what went there for using live minnows but never could find the bite, fished Hillsdale point and ran all the way into the back on the other side of the bridge of Gardner Road, what a beeatch getting out of that heck hole with the wind blowing and no channel markers to go by! I did not see anyone catch any walley most where crappie fishing in the trees or by the Antioch boat ramp. On the way in I picked up a patch of whites on the FF and the troll was on! Of course there was a guy at the boat ramp that told us about his 27 and 30 incher he caught last weekend!!
