NEW FISH FISHBURNE SHOW
The show sucks, can't take him serious. He was good at first on UMF, but he got old quick. He is a good fisherman, but his brand of humor is not appealing to most.

I'm dying...
We've had winter precip here in West Tn nearly every week this year in West Tn ! I love snow, but I'm ready for it to warm up so I can catch a fish ! The lakes I like to fish are having major shad die offs and the water temps are around 40 so the fishing is tough right now.

Smallies have ruined me
I'm afraid they're in the process of ruining me also ! I haven't caught that many, but man are they fun ! They are the most beautiful fish I've ever caught, not to mention how mean they are. I am focusing on catching a big one (6 lbs or better !) at Pickwick for the forseeable future.

New member from West Tennessee
Hello, I'm David Prince and I've been bass fishing in our local club in Brownsville, Tn since 1995. I've also fished regional events on the Tennessee River impoundments for many years, mostly as a contributor to the winners ! We have several great lakes in our region, including Reelfoot Lake in the northwest corner of the state. My personal best LM is an 11 lb 12 oz beast I caught April 2010 at Gibson County lake in West Tn. I released her alive and healthy in a buddy's local lake. I love fishing Pickwick for smallmouth, but am not very good at it. My personal best SM is a 4 lb 9 oz caught on a spook this past fall. I must say I love catching SM better than LM and am focusing on Pickwick to catch a big one for the forseeable future. This is a great site with great information and thanks to all for your contributions ! Good luck on your fishing and hope you catch a "Gila Monster" !

Pickwick?
I was down there on the lake Sunday, major shad die off, every seagull in the southeast seemed to be there ! As many have said, the fishing will be tough until the shad are eaten or flushed out. Should be good for the fishing this spring as they should be fat !

Quest for the 7 pound Smallmouth
My pb is a 4.9 smally, caught this fall on a spook at Pickwick on the 5th cast of the morning, on a Sunday. It was beautiful. I skipped church for the first time in a while to go that day. I thanked the Lord for that fish as I let her go and told Him that if I didn't catch another fish the rest of the day, it was fine with me. He obliged me with not a single strike the rest of the day ! And I was happy. I love PW and there is no question there is a world record smally in there somewhere. I fish the lower section of the lake mostly, but am starting to learn the upper section around 7 mile island. I can't imagine what a 7 lb smallmouth would be like. Congrats to all who've caugth them and thanks for the pics.
