Will do.... I'll be back out there tomorrow from 5 - 8 if anybody wants to meet up for some fishing. Weather permitting, of course.

Any particular pattern hammer? Are there Shad in El Dorado? I hit the park last night from 5:00 to 8:00 for no luck. Other then the heavy rains during the day the condition during the time I was there seemed perfect! I witnessed quite a bit of top water activity but couldn't get anything to take the plug.

caught the skunk on Saturday... Started off with Spinners trying to locate the fish with no luck. Used White, White/Chart, White/Black, Black/Red, sizes from 1/8 to 1/2 oz. with no luck. Worked multiple worms on the Texas, Wacky, and Drop for no luck. Tossed Jig n' pigs and Texas rigged Creatures for no luck. Fish where there, talked to one guy on the paddle boat lake who said he had about 5 already :-?

I appreciate the advice Hammer... Again, being new to bass fishing and very new to El Dorado, I appreciate any and all help I can get. It's so confusing to me how each of our lakes can be so different in similar conditions. I think after El Dorado tomorrow, I may get the boat out and head towards Diamond Valley. This should be a great weekend!

I'll give that a try Hammer... thanks for responding. I'm not use to throwing jerk baits outside of saltwater so I'll have to do a little testing to see what works. For now... I'm packing some Jig n' pigs in darker colors for the overcast/rainy weekend we should be having. As well as a variety of worms in sizes 4" and 6". Focusing on the darker patterns. I'm also thinking that a spinnerbait, dark in color, with a single colorado blade will produce something. I was wondering if this thread or section for that matter had completely dried up! lol I'll be there Saturday if anybody want's to come out. Thanks again, Rick

So... How has it been for you guys? I'm new to the park there but have been putting in a lot of time testing different techniques and lures over the last couple weeks. I've been focusing on the back lake but have only managed a few dinks down there. I was able to fool one larger model who spit the hook near the shore but that is about it. For now... I'm enjoying being able to test different baits and techniques so close to home. If you ever want to meet up, let me know!
