Had a terrific day on Thursday 4 anglers and 100 fish. Stripers averaging about 2-3 lbs and water temp is currently at 55 degrees. We used live bait (anchovies) and they fish were everywhere. My guests were from Utah and fish with me every year but this was early for the stripers to really be doing so well. Needless to say, their freezers will be happy. Heard from a friend Escalante is full of crappie right now

Been working the waters of Lake Powell on the Utah Arizona border since 1979. We fish for inland Stripers, Large Mouth and Small Mouth bass, walleye, Crappie and trout on the river portion. I grew up in Florida on the Palm River and got hooked on fishing early . I'm interested in all types of feed back on fly fishing as well as conventional angling adventures and possibilities.
