I'm sure the transducer shields you can buy work great, I took a different route based on cost. I purchased a joist hanger and pipe clamps from the hardware store. Some minor drilling etc. This protects the front and bottom of the transducer. Trolling motor fin protects the back. Cost is <$5. Good luck
