I fished LaCygne last Thursday afternoon (12/1). Water was 57 at ramp and 65 right at the outlet. One stack pumping smoke. 12 trailers at the park ramp. Saw 2 or 3 other boats near outlet area. Others were down south I guess? I fished/trolled for whites and wipers. Caught 2 dozen 8" whites, 2 - 16" wipers, 4 - 8" cats, one 12" crappie, a 6" LMB and a walnut. Quite a mix. First time to catch a walnut! Shad balls were everywhere, not just near the outlet. I spoke with another couple gents as I was pulling out at sunset. They had caught 4 LMB all day. Biggest was 4 lbs. I think this recent cold snap should move them around a bit.
Anybody been to Coffey County lately?
