I got 2 10XD's 1 6XD 1 red eye shad 1 2.5 1 1.5 1 sexy dawg 1 slasher 1 pack of brush hawgs 1 pack of swimmin flukes 1 pack of culprit incredi craw 1 pack of swimbait hooks/heads all for $65 Edited to add... Our local wal-mart stores have boxes of "clearance" I've bought pack of zoom horny toads, yum yumdingers, yum craw dads, zoom mini chunks, and yum lizards for $1.96/pack. They had a BUNCH of bright red and white lizards. Looked too strange for me, They looked like gummy worms (in color). Within 25 miles of me I have about 7 wal-mart stores and I travel locally for work so I hit them up pretty often.

I feel like I've made a decision on my other setups. I bought a new Stradic FJ 2500 last week and LOVE it. Spooled it with Power Pro and put it on my 7'2" Crucial worm/jig rod. Great setup. I've pretty much made up my mind on all the other setups with the exception of the 7'11" H XF Crucial flipping/punching rod. Probably won't be making long casts so not concerned with that. I won't say that I'm on a strict budget but if I can save some money, great. If the MGX is THE reel for this, I'm okay with that too. I'm and Abu fan (at least for baitcasting) so... Thoughts on proper reel and line setup to complete this rig? Thanks in advance fellas. I've learned a LOT here and look forward to learning more.

Unfortunately, I JUST saw the 3rd Generation Revo line on ***. As if I wasn't already confused enough, now I have to decide if I can wait until "early fall".

Thanks for your help guys. I know there is a LOT of debate over the Shimano vs Abu reels. I handled the new Chronarchs, Curados and Core...not impressed. Seemed a little sloppy to me. That is why I think I really want the Abus. What about line choices? And which rod (of those listed) would be best used for buzzbaits? Again, thanks so much for your help.

Hey guys. Pretty new here. I've been lurking and reading for a while. I've been fishing for about 30 years and have decided to up my game a little bit. I've been fishing with hand me down stuff for most of my fishing career. I recently purchased some new rods and am torn between reel models, ratios, and line choices. So, tell me your thoughts. and I'll tell you mine. Thanks for looking and any help you can offer Here is what I just got: All Shimano Crucial (new style) CRCX72MHA 7'2" MH Worm (mostly Texas rigged worms, jigs, and creatures up to 3/4 oz weights) CRS72MA 7'2" M Worm spinning (mostly finesse jigs and texas worms) CRCC76MA 7'6" M Crankbait (mostly small and medium sized crankbaits shallow to 12') CRCFX72MHA 7'2" MH Frog (zoom horny toads, etc on unweighted hooks) CRCSBX72MHA 7'2" MH Spinnerbait (mosylt spinnerbaits up to 1/2 oz) CRCX711HA 7'11" H Punching (bigger jigs and punching setups 1 oz or so) I have one Revo STX HS that I will be putting on my worm rod I'm thinking of going with all Abu Garcia Revo's (STX-HS for worm, frog, and punching. Winch for crankbait and STX or Premier for spinnerbait. Thinking of Pfleuger Supreme XT or Stradic CI4 on the spinning rod) Open to suggestions and also suggestions on lines for each. Also, which rod would you suggest for buzzbaits? PS looking for an excuse to buy an MGX hehe
