  1. How did you get down there? I've heard that there is a pond down there as well. Any truth to that?
  2. That is Jenness Pond. I wouldn't go there though, no good fish!
  3. Just started with the San Diego Jam this year. Easy to tie and haven't broken a knot yet. I'm impressed with it.
  4. Any time! Well get out again soon!
  5. All but 2 were on cranks! Bumpin and Grindin!
  6. Got out today and I'm glad I did! Weather was great until 3pm-ish, no real wind, partly Sunny and 55deg! This weather will certainly start warming up the water! Watch for next week! The pre-spawn will be in FULL swing! Managed 12 fish total, 7 Smallies and 5 Buckets. Mostly 2-3lbr's, but got these twin 4lb (4.3lb and 4.7lb) Smallies! Ended up breaking the shear pin for my trolling motor some how and had to paddle back as I was in the tin boat. Was still worth it though!
  7. That's funny to hear about Rocky Pond. I fish there A LOT and I'm not a Hollis resident. I have even spoken to fish and game while I was there once last year. He didn't mention anything about being a resident, though it states it at the launch. Seen him a few times since while I was already on the water and he just waved. Who knows. Cunningham Pond is the same, but the town hired a high school girl to sit at the launch last year and check for stickers.
  8. Wind has been ridiculous lately, so I asked the National Weather Service guys at work today. They explained it as there is a constant low pressure system in the gulf of Maine that just keeps circling and circling, not moving at all. Then with constant high pressure systems forming out west and making there way to our side, it is essentially squishing the atmosphere and creating a constant wind tunnel in the Northeast. He said expect to see these winds for the next week or two.
  9. WOW! I am still laughing that you caught that fish in Turtle! A few years ago I caught a 7lbr there and I nearly ***** a brick! Crazy to think there is bigger! Good for you man!
  10. Filled out both forms. Will respond back if/when I get them.
  11. Get your gear ready! This week is promising warming temps and sunny skies! The prespawn bite will be back!
  12. From my experiences here, they moved back to their winter staging patterns when the cold fronts came in. I was also catching them shallow that week and since then I have been catching them progressively deeper as the cold days dragged on. The plus side is the weather will be on the up starting today. You'll see higher temps during the day and night. As this happens I would suspect it'll almost be a "restart" and you'll see them staging shallower and shallower, back to where it was a few weeks ago. So we basically had a taste of the prespawn a few weeks ago and now that action will pick up again! Good luck and tight lines!
  13. Bobh64, glad to hear it! This weather has been sucking lately, but it looks like this week that'll change. The pre spawn bite should be back this week!
  14. You got that right. Took about 25 fan casts, but I must have bumped it on the right angle. She slammed it right after I bumped one of the rails.
  15. I work at 8am, but maybe I can fish for a few hours before work. My work is 3mins from there. Ill keep you posted. I'd have my little 12ft Aluminum.
  16. Had a few hours and since the rain was gone, I went over to Potanipo. Fishing was slow, but managed this 4lb fatty. This fish is probably normally a 2.5lb fish, but she had a baseball in her stomach! Started to sprinkle again, so I came home.
  17. Nice fish Pa1n! That's a slab o bass there!
  18. Deal. Name the time and where you wanna meet.
  19. Spofford Lake for me. Was under 1lb from the State record last year on a Smallie there.
  20. Caught this 4lb 6oz yesterday in nearly the same spot as the 8 pounder.
  21. Nice fish again! Didn't realize that Turtle held fish like that anymore.
  22. Not very big. Just Google it and look at the topo. Glad to hear that they at least attempted to get some of the milfoil and algae out of there. You could practically walk across it during the summer months.
  23. Depends on when you guys go on Sunday's. I'm out of work, which is in Nashua, at 3pm. Could meet after work. Let me know.
  24. Nice fish Shane! I got out myself yesterday, weather was too good not to. As others have been stating, seeing fish in the 1-3ft range, cruising shallows preparing for spawn. If you have to time, get on the water now! They are eating everything! I happen to catch this hawg, though not quite as big as Shane's, it was a exactly 8lbs on the scale. Tight lines all!
