  1. thanks, It seems that the inlets and corner pockets are the best for sure..Its about 2 feet deep there. I'm just wondering why all of a sudden NOTHING IS HITTING..Maybe I should stick to early morning or evening fishing there since I cant hit the middle during the day . If your stuck on the bank this time of year I guess shallow is the way to go. I bet they are on bed to right now. Just seems weird that it's just stopped performing.
  2. It's HUGE..I have attached a picture. It's kinda shaped like a pair pf pants..both tips are the shallow areas and the waist band is the dam side where I caught my lunker. I can walk that whole back side and on both sides of the pants legs but too many briars and trees to get every where..So im kinda limited. See photo.
  3. Here is the forecast for the week!!
  4. Hello everyone..I am 42 years old and have been fishing since I was 5. I know it says Newbie but what that means is I am fishing by myself in a Private 8 acre pond my neighbor owns and I am NEWBIE TO POND FISHING. I know I am lucky to have this place but I am cursed a little at the same time because i am forced to fish it from the bank for now. I know there are a lot of pro pond fellas here that can help me..Without a depth finder and temp gauge I gotta hit this old school. I fished it last year a little and caught a 8 lb 1/4 0z lunker near the end of the year and hung several big ones that got off. I had the big boy mounted because thats the biggest BASS I have ever caught. I started last month hitting it hard..Last week in march I hit it 3 days solid all day and caught over 300 bass total..from fingerlings to approximately 5 lbs. all catch and release. I went this past weekend and was lucky to catch 50 in 3 days all under 11 inches. The weather has been in the 60's and 70's for 2 weeks and Im thinking they have hit the BED. Without having a pond boat I cant see the bedding areas. I know where the shallow areas are but they dont seem to be there either. I went yesterday it was 77 degrees sunny and no wind..I fished 3 hours HARD and only caught 4 fish all under 11 inches..I through buzz baits in the shallows, rebel wee craw, 7 inch red worm, White Charlie Brewer 1/8 ounce jig. and chartrouce spinner bait..NOTHING!! When do you guys think they spawned on this pond and when might they be off..?..It will remain in the 60's and 70's until summer for highs here and lows in the 50's at night. I can post a google map view of the pond if it will help. I plan to fish it this year as much as possible because it has been left un fished for about 8 years and its FULL OF BASS..I bet theres a record mama in there. ..Thank you guys in advance, and LETS GO FISHING!!!!
