    A good friend of mine, Mike Snead, runs a bait and tackle shop (Virginia Outdoorsman) at the lake. He also has a web site which I use every week for Smith Mountain Lake Fishing updates: He provides fishing reports and can point you to some guide services which I have used. You will love the lake.
