the duck

Howdy yall... I have been fishin my whole life, I never understood what I was doing until about 5 years ago...most of the time dad gave me my pole and said "cast it out thee and leave it.." well that's not all its cracked up to be. So now I'm trying worm, crank and top water fishing..and from watching bill dance and other pros I'm guessing I'm doing it the right way...I was thinking my time of day was off, or mabey the weather...what is idea temp...pressure...water...temp...ect..I was told last week that the atmosphere pressure has a lot to do with...any words of advice?
