    Rick Jenkins posted a topic in Fishing Rods, Reels, Line, and Knots
    I have a heavy action Kistler rod, 7'. A Pleuger Presidential baitcasting reel on it and 40lb braid. I'm trying to throw frogs over grass mats for the morning bites and am only able to cast about 20 feet away from the boat. This is driving me crazy!!!! Does anyone have any idea as to what the issue is?
