  1. I took my 3 sons fishing at a very early age and have continued to do so for the last 30 years. My son TJ took to the sport the most and became a very good bass fisherman, competing in a Vermont bass club every summer now for the past few years. Whenever he say dad taught me that, it pleases me to say the least. A couple years ago I was fishing with him on Lake Champlain and he caught the largest Bass I had ever seen all the years we had been fishing. Maybe not that large for Florida but it was a trophy here in Vermont. 6lbs 8oz
  2. I will be moving to Lakeland the 1st week of November (see introduction) and would like to ask a couple questions. I'm interested primarily in LM bass and Crappie. What would be the closest good lake for these 2 species? Is November a good time to fish them here? What are popular lure choices for both? Thanks for your help. Looking forward to the move to Lakeland.
  3. Hi everyone! I have lived in Vermont all my life and have not wandered much except for a stint in the army where I served in Okinawa durring the Vietnam War. I grew up on Lake Champlain and have always enjoyed bass fishing there. My other hobby is flying gas powered Radio Controlled airplanes. I retired this year and decided it was time to seek warmer weather to enjoy both my passions full time. Fishing and RC. November 1st of this year I will be moving to Lakeland Florida, where 2 of my other brothers already live. This looked like a good forum to learn more about bass fishing in Central Florida, so hear I am.
