Everybody there fishes for trout as far as I've seen. I think they ignore all the "other" fish.

Caught my first one fishing for LMB. I did not even know what it was when i got it in, had to research it online. It felt bigger than it was and that is what i like about them.

I have caught carp on ultralight setups, shakespeare retractable rod w/ 4lb flouro.They were nowhere near 30lbs though, closer 10lb. Definitely need drag setup right like Marty said. I recommend a long handle net, near shore ( I'm a shore fisher) is where they were at most risk of breaking off for me.
