Now A Believer!
I have been a real hardbaits guy, always have a crank lipped or lipless within arms reach. But my buddy is one of those guys that thinks if you cant fish with a soft plastic, you cant fish. So he challenged me to a day on the water with nothing but soft plastics, I chose zoom lizards... I HAD A BLAST! He showed me a few things and I was just reeling them in, now I did catch a few 1 pounders and less, but I also caught a few 3 and 4 pounders. and now, atleast soft plastic lizards will always be in my tackle box. And since Z-Man lures sponsors this now, maybe I will order a few bags of their plastic lizards

Half Tubes?
I know alot of guys use them for fly fishing. Didnt know if there would be any complications with a spinning reel or baitcaster

Half Tubes?
Yeah! thats it!

Half Tubes?
I think they are called half tubes. But they look like half of a boat that straps to your back. If you know what I am talking about, are they worth the money? It would be something I would use in some of the larger ponds that I dont really need to use a boat, but need to get in the water to get to some of the hot spots.

How To "walk" A Frog
I have a spro bronze jr frog in midnight walker and I love, it has really become one of my go to lures. Recently though, I havent been getting as many bites as I would. I can honestly say I am not the best with the frog but it works for me. I can make it look like a real frog going through the water, but only in a straight line. I was wondering how to make the frog walk side to side?

What Kind Of Rod Should I Get?
If I throw mostly cranbaits and spinners and frogs, sometimes senkos and poppers but not as often as I do crankbaits, would a 7' 2" casting rod with med-heavy power and moderate action be a good decision?

Some Questions About Rods And Reels
Whats the difference in hieght in a rod? In bait casters how do more or less ball bearings make a difference? What is the difference in the series like the Guide series and Reaction series and such? And are quantum reels and rods good? I am showing pigs at my fall fair and will auction one off, most pigs go from anywhere between 300 and 500 dollars and am looking to get a nice rod and reel with the money.

Topwater Frogs
Also, on the spro frog I like to shorten the skirts (dont know f they are acually reffered to as skirts, but they are the legs on the spro). Sometimes it seems they will take the frog and then spit it out cause the skirts bothered it, i trimmed them down a bit and havent had one spit it out yet!

Topwater Frogs
I like to use the spro frog jr and spro frog popper, both in midnight walker. The black is easier for the fish to see on the top, the spro frog has become my go to bait when i cant work anything right, I would recommend it to anybody! Tight Lines!

Your #1 Bait
Ok so lets say you go to a tournament, on a lake you have never fished, and you can only bring one bait to use the whole time, what would it be? Mine would be the Spro Frog Jr Night Walker, I always bring a seperate pole tied with one of these, no matter where I fish. It has become my go to bait where ever I am fishing.

Fishing Possible In This Heat!?
So me and a buddy went out to a local pond, it is not fished much (for some reason, home to great bass, maybe everyone else doesnt know how to fish it right) but it is a good 20 acre pond. The heat here has been 100 + for the past three days so i figured all the big guys would be on the bottom of the pond. i started out with senkos and fished them wacky style on the bottom for a good hour and nothing. So I switched to a spro aruku crank bait and walked it along the bottom for a while and still nothing. Then switched to the strike king red eye shad and fished it a little bit above the bottom and still no bites. For my last resort I put on a jig and fished it right on the bottom trying to make it look like a crawfish, but to no avail. So what is going on? we went out at about 7 in the evening so they should have been biting, grant it we guessed they wouldnt be activly feeding so we fished every lure slow but it didnt help. are they just not going to bite wth this heat?

Fishing Glasses, What Do You Use?
Since I starting to fish everyday (my new motto is "I only fish on days that end in y") I decided I needed to get fishing glasses. I read some and read that polarized glasses work really well, so I went and bought a pair that berkley teamed up with strike king to make, they fit perfectly, polarized, and you can look at the sun without blinking. So, do you guys just wear regular sun glasses and my purchase was a waste, or do you guys wear glasses made for fishing?

Your Big Spot
I dont know if I am the only one, but everyonce in awhile I decide to go to one spot that I know I can catch fish. Its a huge pond that nobody lives around, I am not sure if anyone even owns it, Its a good 2-3 acres, and on the north east corner it is a bit shallower than the rest of the pond, and it has patches of tall weeds. If I ever have a bad day I go out there with a small popper in the weeds and always manage to catch atleast 6 bass, all a good 3-4 pounds (nothing special, but they're still fish!). So I was just wondering, does anybody else have there own little spot that not very many people no about, if any. You dont have to give a exact location, just a nice little description!

Jigs: How To Fish Them?
So I have heard that jigs are basic, and a great weapon to have. But I am clueless on them, what should I use for a skirt and such? and how do you use them? Anything and everything would be great help!

Spinnerbaits
Never used a senko, but I love spinner baits. I would say strike king and booyah. But terminators are really good also, a bit pricey but they are worth it. Spinners are good for getting bass active when they are not actively feeding.

Hi!
Well I have been fishing since I was a kid with my dad. I never was interested in bass fishing I was more into cat and blue gill fishing. Recently really got into bass fishing, Im from Indiana right around the Fort Wayne area, I love fishing at any pond I can get too and going out on any lake. Just thought I would add that my favorite baits are Hula Poppers and the Spro Bronze eye Frog Jr.
-
Your "turning Point" Purchase
Mine was probably the Spro Bronzeeye Frog Jr. I never was into bass fishing, I always liked catfishing at night and blue gill fishing because it was so high paced. But one of my buddies told me I would like bass fishing and let me use his frog. I loved it so much that I went and bought one myself. That frog got me so hooked I went to the bait store and bought some stuff, and now I almost have a full tackle box and wonder why I didn't get into bass fishing earlier!

What To Put Into My Tackle Box!?
So I have always loved fishing, but just recently got into bass fishing (I have been more of a cat fisherman before, and bluegill). So the big question is, what should I get for tackle!? I have a shad, two Rat L Lures, I got two spoons ( not sure if those work for bass), a spro frog jr and alot of terminator and strike king spinners and buzzerbaits. But I am looking for some new things to try, and ideas!?
