Well I have one too, my brother-in-law said someone left it at a property they rented from him or something... I was looking on the internet to find out something about it too, believe it or not it was paired with the same shimano bantam reel (which was pretty old, and broke soon after acquiring). I haven't used the rod yet but I think I'll try it out. But to answer your question, I don't have any idea about the time this rod was produced, what it cost, etc.
