Small Profile Bass Plastics
I just got my order of Charlie Brewer Slider Worms and was amazed at the extra items they sent me. They sent me about 5 2 piece samples of some decent soft plastics for both bass and panfish. I will definately be using them again.

Small Profile Bass Plastics
roadwarrior good call on the 6# line. My partner just spoke with an area guide and he basically echo'd each persons statements here. He stressed very hard that we should go to using 6# test along with lures in the 2 1/2-4 inch range. Time to bust out the smaller spinning rods.

Small Profile Bass Plastics
What are some good soft plastics that are low profile in the 2 1/4 to 2 3/4 size range. It seems that our fish don't really hit on much over 3 inches here in the smaller heavily pressured lakes. I have been looking and can't find much under 3". Our fish mainly caught stay in the .5 lb-1.25lb range with a few bigger ones thrown in. Any tips or info would be great.

Sizmic War Head Weights
Anyone use these for punching and if what is your opinion. I was debating trying them out, but I would hate to have them come off the hook.

Walking A Spro Bronzeye Frog
I did have one, but I sold it to clear out some space. I am kinda kicking myself because I didn't think to try it as a frog rod.

Walking A Spro Bronzeye Frog
Today with the Booyah Pad Crasher(cricket frog) About 15 hits and I connected on 4 fish. One was a nice 3-4lber I caught in open water mid day. I personally just pop-pop-pause or pop-pop-pop-pause. I have more success fishing it super slow and changing up the rythm. Right now my rod set up isn't ideal for froggin' either so I feel your pain. I use a Abu Garcia Veritas 7' medium action with 12lb test spinning rod. I can definately see where having a heavy would help hook ups. There is a thread talking about how the berkley lightning heavy action is great for the money(around $30-$40 at walmart) so that might be something you could look into.

Berkley Shock Rod
I saw Walmart in Vestal,NY had a bunch on sale for like 29.99. Not sure what length or rod power though.

Gary Yamamoto Senko Replacement??
and if you want to save a few bucks check out Outlet Bait and Tackle online. Sometimes they have amazing prices on stuff. 4' senko's for 3.99, granted they don't have every color, but still its a big savings. http://www.overstockbait.com/category_s/911.htm

Gary Yamamoto Senko Replacement??
not sure if anyone mentioned this but get the o ring tool and put o rings on or lake fork makes a weight ring that looks reasonable.

Favorite Jig Color
Black and Blue has been a killer this year in NEPA.

What Happened To My Senkos?
Trigger x flutter worms and minnows are the worst for drying up. Berkley gulp is a close second and I got a bucket of 3' berkley hawgs and the things are a bit hard with crappy action.

Skeet Reese Victory 701 Reel
I had some issues hooking with a frog today so I am looking at the senko/toad and trying that for frogging

Skeet Reese Victory 701 Reel
Had a great time today with this set up and was quite pleased. I'm definately considering getting the flippin stick, although 8' seems like alot of rod.

Bass After A Ton Of Rain
It really turned out to be a great day of fishing 22 teams and about 16 limited out (8 is the limit). In the morning they were really hugging the edges of the grass. We had a terrible day personally since I lost 3 fish on a frog and my partner lost a good 2-3lber at the boat before I could net it. This is how small the bass were at this lake. 1st was 8 fish for 10.08 lbs and the lunker was 3 lbs with no other fish over 1.88 lbs. All said we had a great time catching all those 10-11 inchers, lol.

Bass After A Ton Of Rain
So here in Pa our small lakes were down and the fishing has been rough. Last night and today we got a ton of rain. What is probably the best strat for fishing on saturday?

Berkley Shock Rod
I just got rid of my 7' MH on ebay for a whopping $10 plus shipping. It was in A+ condition. They are great rods for the price, but I did have to exchange it after I broke the tip. The sensitivity is amazing almost to the point of being too much, lol.

Skeet Reese Victory 701 Reel
I honestly don't think it is. Last year was really the first year I used baitcasters and this one is by far the easiest to handle and other then the side plate issue the easiest to adjust. I had a megaforce with twitchin bar, solene and a quantum gsx titanium so far and I am moving up the cost bracket slowly. I just sold the megaforce and the solene and the GSX I have braid on and use it for flipping/pitching smaller jigs/worms. After saturday I'll post some more.

Skeet Reese Victory 701 Reel
I paired it with a skeet reese spinnerbait/worm 7' rod and although it recommends 12lb test I threw on 10 lb Pline flouroclear since normally NEPA doesn't get huge bass. I took it to a few farm ponds around here and yanked out some 2lbers with no issue so far. Even though it looked to be lubed up I put some reel butter on it. I have a club tourney this weekend so after a full day I'll have a better idea of its ability.

Skeet Reese Victory 701 Reel
NM finally got it. Found a video on youtube

Skeet Reese Victory 701 Reel
I just purchased this reel and have been tryin to get the side plate off to lube the reel, but for some reason it won't come off. I have read that the side plate falling off is an issue , but not getting it off. Anyone own one and have any tips for getting it off without brute force?

Zero Gravity Jigs
Also the owner is a super nice guy. I was worried about my order and I emailed him. Within a couple hours he responded and we have talked back and forth a few times. He gave me a pointer on a good way to work it in our current weather up here in NEPA. I honestly wish I would have ordered a few more colors for my Club championship this weekend. And no I have no vested interest or affiliation with this product. I just used it a few times and liked it enough to pass the word on.

Zero Gravity Jigs
I just bought a couple of these to try out and I couldn't be happier with the results. We have gotten a ton of rain in NEPA this week and water levels are crazy high. During a break this afternoon I decided to try out one in the PB&J pattern. In about an hour I caught 10 fish. This is definately rare for that pond.
