Does anyone have anything to say on this subject, lots of views but i would really like to hear what you guys have to say about it please.

It was nutz watching them on the sonar. There would be yellow lines right on the bottom and we were sitting still and when you started dropping the stick they would come up the water column. It was fun I cant wait to try it again.

Have you guys ever "called up Stipers" ? We went today and banged the bottom of the boat in rythym with a pool stick and got stripers to come up to investigate and got them to bite our shad! It was so much fun! Anyone have any information on this, i cant find very much information online about this.

We have caught a ton of bass on the shakeyhead this year, what weight do you use for your shakeyhead? We had a 5 fish limit close to 12 pounds and finished 3rd in a tourney with a shakey head, we were using trick worm in the Green Pumpkin Red.

Buzz bait, just in the morning and evening, or have you experienced all day success at times?

If you see them feeding on the surface and have a fluke tied on, you will almost certainly get a bite!!

WE have tried them on a C-Rig with success, i need to do it more often!!

We have a stretch of the river that is not as pressured that is above our lake. Most of the tournament fishermen stay farther down river and in the lake. There are tons of rocks and stumps and blowdowns and swift water. I guess my real question is what is a good bass lure for fast moving current...the Lucky craft crankbait that is listed above sounds pretty good. Thanks for your info.

So even if the current sweeps by but breaks up a bit, you would throw it up river and let it drift to this point? We fish the blow downs and stumps, but i feel like we could be fishing more water, but not sure the fish are sitting in that heavy current.

Do you ever throw the jig into the current or do you concentrate on blowdowns, stumps, and eddy water?

Are you talking about the one that runs a few inches below the surface or the one that goes8-10'? Does it have a feather on the back hook?

Paul Parson's is a good guide. So is Russ Hudson. West Point is my home lake and it is a challenge, you can go wear them out one day and then have nothing but dinks the next day!!

Maybe it is because you are a pond boss, when you burn gas on a lake a 3 dollar bag of flukes is nothing!! Just joking about the pond boss comment, i fish ponds a lot also and there is certainly nothing wrong with it but it made my point well!

For catching Bass in a river where strong current as well as good eddy water pockets. Both shallow and deep in places and you have a boat that can go most anywhere?

I caught a 7 pounder out of Guntersville my first and only trip there! Of course i caught him on Saturday practicing for the Sunday Tournament. We caught 11.5 pounds on tourney day but that beast on Saturday was the highlight of the day.

Wow, those are some Hulks!!! I see all kinds of fishing shows where they are at lake Erie tearing up the smallies, it looks like a ton of fun. I would love to come up there and do it some day!

I am in Midwest georgia, my home lake is West Point lake...since making that post we caught a 6.5 pounder off of a pig-n-jig! So i guess now is a good time to throw the jig!

Great fish...any day fishing is better than a day working, but you took it to a new level yesterday!
