Im looking for a new rod for christmas. i want a good all around rod. My price range is probably up to 75 dollars. Ive been looking at the Berkley Lightning Shock Casting Rod, and i think it would be a good rod.

I just looked up the alamaba rig... i personly think its stupid. i mean really? LOL. Who ever got that one into the community?

Ive been fishing in my pond lately and we have really havent been getting much. Ive caught my PB and my friend caught a nice around 2 1/2 lbs and some little ones on rattletraps. Ive also caught some little ones on spinners. Should I keep going with the rattletraps? If so, should i keep fishing them the way i was (casting it out there and just reeling in) or try something different? Thanks!
