  1. The hydrilla WAS coming back but this years drought has all but emptied Stillhouse. Down 42ft. Boat ramps are still functional, but the sailboats at the marina are on dry land.
  2. Segaur InvisX is what I use, but P Line CXX is good also. the thing to remember is this. We spend good money on rod and reels and don't think twice about donating tackle to the lake. So, don't go cheap with the most important link between you and lure. TIGHTLINES!
  3. Hello All - I'm new to the forum, but not new to fishing. That's not to say i don't learn something new everyday, but I do possess some avid knowledge to share about bass fishing, especially in Texas where we have our share of "Meanmouth Bass" !! I'm not a guide but can suggest a few if you are fishing down here. And if you are from Texas, I'd like to hear from you and maybe plan a trip to one of my local waters (Stillhouse Hollow & Belton Lakes) or waters around your local. I'm a bass club fisherman, looking for a 2012 partner in the Centra Texas Area to do Bud Lite or Bass Champs Central or South trails. Anyway, I'm on the forum to gain AND share info. Tightlines!
  4. I know exactly what you are looking for. The problem is there are few bags out there worth their salt. I ended up designing my own with 600 denier Army material with a 1/4in foam wall and faux lambs wool liner. I even added a long pocket on the side to carry about eght rels of line. Basically, it looks like a gun case except its 8ft long, so I get asked what type gun I'm carrying...a 50cal ! Other than that, it is reel sweet. Great for taking in and out of hotels while fishing on the road. BAsically, it woorks for me, so if you can get wth your local upholstery shop or seemstress, they can make your bag to spec!
