    Thanks for the input from everybody. I will try both, wire and thread and see what I like. Just got my tying vise in, time to get started. Thanks again !!!

    I love fishing spinners,Jigs and Chatterbaits but have had problems with the skirts flying apart on some. As replacements I have used Quickskirts and other one piece replacements. They dont seem to have the same flair as ones that are tied. My question is what is the best thread and sealer to use on hand tied skirts, I dont want to use the bands because they dry-rot after 1/2 season of use. Thanks in advance.
