Fed-Ex Mix-Up
So i ordered several rods from Denali about a week an half ago and on this past fri i decided to track the package and it said it was delivered one day prior. Long story short the driver did come back to my house and advised he remembers seeing the package on the van but doesnt remember what happened to it and doesnt recall where it was delivered. Fedex did take full responsibility for the lost package and hopefully will get new rods shipped out this week from Denali. Someone in MD will be enjoying 3 new denali rosewoods, package was never returned.

Spinning Reels $150-$200 Range
I went with the ci4, due to me fishing brackish water, (upper bay and potomac), knowing the magnesium wouldnt hold-up to the salt. thank you everyone for your opinions

Dobyns Saavy Series Rods
I fished with these rods for 2 yrs and really had no complaints (734 and 735). they are very solid and have decent feel. Also when setting the hook they do have a nice crisp feeling. I ended up selling both, the feel was ok but somewhat muted feel. i had an easier time selling the 735 then the 734, which was my favorite out of the two. but you wont be disappointed and they have great customer service

Clearwater Jigs And Spinnerbaits
Just wanna see some opinions on what you guys like for jigs and spinnerbaits in clear water, mainly brands and do you downsize when confronted with a clear water, hvy pressure resservoir?? i am looking for some new jigs to try out but im fairly new to those conditions, i use to mainly fish shallow, stained rivers but not anymore.

Non Boater Tips
i been fishing as a co-angler for awhile and have been pretty successful. i was like you at first, was worried and not completely sure of the equittue so i researched the hell out of it. mainly condense your tackle to one bag, i persoonally use the KVD bad from walmart and can fit a ton of stuff in that bag(probably more then i really need). Only bring as many rods as you can easily manage and the main thing is not to let them get in the boaters way. never let any of your equipment hinder them or get tangled with theres. everyone has a different number of rods, some 3-4 some 6-7, i personally fish with 6 very easily and have never had an issue. as for cater to the boater you do not have to do that, if you both have a fish on you handle yours and let him handle his. also as the one guy stated over and over and over about the cost of boat payments and insurance etc....., that is there choice. no one force them to get a boat/truck payment no one forced them to fish a toourney trail that allows co-anglers, if they have an issue with that, then dont fish the trail or fish one with no co-angler, simple. here are some rules i follow: 1. do treat there boat as if it is new, at the end of the day you are just a guest on it. 2. Offer gas money, atleast $30 and ramp fee which is usually $5-$10bucks. 3. work out the netting procedures before a fish is caught 4. never cast to prime targets toward the front of the boat, you work from middle to back unless he says its fine to cast towards the front. 5. bring enough equipment that will get you through the day and it will not hinder you or the boater. 6. be on time and when moving from spot to spot dont be the last one. try and be in your seat with lifevast on ready to go or be quickly behind him. 7. just relax and have fun. no reason to be stressed out cause you are fishing as a co-angler. if you are you will not enjoy yourself and the boater will probably not enjoy your company either.

Why Do I Make This So Difficult
Alright my current line-up is 2 kistler helium(1mirco standard), dobyns savvy(734,735),and for spinning falco clark wendlendt and a st croix avid68mxf. So here is the dilema, i tend to change equpiment if not completely in love with it. i am happy but not in love(lol) and was thinking about replacing my 4 casting rods with either denali rosewoods or powell endurance's. i know its along shot but im hoping someone has compared a few of these rods together and was wondering there opinion. i know there are a few powell max vs savvys reviews but cant find to much on the endurance series or the rosewoods.thanks for any replies.

Which Reel To Match Rod
Will be getting the powell 703cb, which is mainly going to be used for cranks down to 12-15ft, traps, squarebill and topwaters. which gear ratio should i pair this up with, a 5:5-1 or the standard 6:4-1??

Powell 703Cb
Hey guys im looking at this rod for my next purchase and was seeing if im on the right page for applications. was planning on using this rod for topwaters, squarebills, cranks down to 12ft and traps. just amking sure im in the same ballpark of what this rod is capable of.

Rod Comparison
All rods could be had for the same price:dobyns savvy, denali rosewood and the kistler heliums. wondering if anyone has ever compared these or have expereince with them. thanks

Question About Revo Premier
Just got a revo premier and immedately spooled it up with 15lb fluro. the other day i was fooling with it and when taking off the side plate and trying to take the spool out i couldnt. all it did was move very slightly to the left towards the opening but wouldnt go anymore. it looked like that the spool itself was to big for the opening which prevented for it to slide out. has anyone else had this issue or any ideas???

Rod Reviews
Just finished the reel reviews and now its time for the rods. im going to try and keep it short cause i am extremely happy with my rods. Dobyns savvy 734/735. great rods. awesome feeling, balances well with alot of different reels and looks sweet. great tip action which is compliamented by a very good backbone. defintely will be purchasing more but in the 7ft range, im not in love with fishing with rods that are 7'3 or bigger. Kistler helium (both mirco and standard guide). again very good rods and great looking rods. Heres where a price comparison is done. the kister's are a $240 dollar rod and they fish very similar to the savvy line. they are lighter then the savvys but they also have a faster tip. the kistlers hvy/f action fish similar to the savvy mh/f in the power department. again very good rods but there are better rods at this price point. Falcon Clark Wednlandt T7cara spinning:i have the 6'10m/f. action rod for multi-purposes. i have successfully fished shakyhead, dropshots, wacky rigs small jigs and have had no issues. also fights fish very well. it is also super light and i mean light, balances and looks sick with the supreme xt. will def. be purchasing more rods from them st croix avid 6'8m/xf. again very soild rod, fights fish extremely well. it is a tad heavier then the falcon and doesnt feel as good to fish with for me. not a fan of there hump handle, will probably not buy another avid, im probably going to sell and try something else. sorry short on time and tried to keep it short. if anyone has anymore detailed questions, please just ask.

Some Reel Reviews
I tend to fish with variety of brands in both rods and reels and figured its time to do some reviews, especially since i have asked many others to do the same for me. Lew's Tournament Pro: great looking reel and super smooth. been using it for about 1 yr now and am very happy with the purchase especailly since i got it for 25% off. it cast's both heavy and light lures very well. when fighting a fish it does its job but doesnt feel as ruggard or strong as the revo stx or curado. Very easy reel to palm and fish with all day. the only thing i didnt like is when the drag gets pulled you can definitely feel that it is not as smooth as other reels in its price range. and this one may sound strange but it is knida hard to explain. when retrieving your lure the this reel is so smooth you kinda lose the feeling of the bait (i know that sounds odd but i dont know how else to explain it. Also for some reason this reel took a tad longer to dial in. but overall a very good reel. Revo STX: i have two of these and they have been fished extremely hard for 2 yrs. These are great dependable reels, awesome drag and they cast very well. What i really like about this reel is the overwhelming power when fighting a good fish, especailly when you tighten down on the drag. very powerful reel. a tad heavier then my others but if an extra 2.5 ounces is going to fatigue you then please just stay indoors and continue playing your video games. a negative for this reel is the finish. you will definitely get some blemishes on it over time but if you are careful and take care of your stuff you will be fine. also it is pretty simple to dial in, not sure why people have trouble getting these reels dialed in. Curado g6 200: i kept hearing about these reels not being that good and i must say for the price this reel is very good. it fishes and holds its own to all the other reels i fish. cast well and very easy to dial in. not as smooth on the cast or retrieve as the others but i kinda like feeling the gears working. cast just as well as my others and is a tad heavier then the lews. also very easy to palm and comfortable to fish. again not sure why people have badmouthed this reel, overall it is not bad especially if your tight on money. but for me i would save the xtra $40-50 bucks and get the stx or a chronarch, but if your capped at $150-$160 then this is a great reel for you. Stradic 2500fj: good looking reel, very solid and powerful and cast well. however the rod it went on (falcon Cara) did not balance well at all. This reel compared to the stradic ci4 or a pflueguer supreme xt is extremely heavy. i actually returned this and got another supreme xt (black and gold one). Supreme XT (black and gold 2011model): absolutely my favorite spinning reel. i have two models the 30 and 25 and prefer the 25 for overall useage. this reel is extremely light, very tough, cast great and have no complaints. for $150 these reel out preformed numerous reels in its price range and a couple around the $200 dollar mark. cant say enough good things about it. Currently just purchased a Revo Premier and will do a review after some usage.

Which Of These Reels
I currently fish with the curado g, revo stx and lews tourney pro for my baitcasters and am currently looking for a new reel to try. the reels im looking at all have a price point of $200 currently and they are Shimano Chronarch200, Revo Premier and Ardent pro. Has anyone compared these reels against each other, if so how did you rate them.
