  1. I've been searching and the fuji palm support real seat may do the trick. I haven't found the specs for length yet, but it could be an option. Keep the suggestions coming. Rod builders please chime in.
  2. I not sure that the trigger should be removed all together, but it would be nice if we had some other options. How about putting the trigger on the front seat, or make the rear seat 2 inches longer and put the trigger in different places for different hand sizes. I don't think that we have any options yet, but triggers have been unchange since their ***. I'm just thinking out loud and what better place to do that than on this "crappy" forum.
  3. The key word is Fun. I like to laugh, even if it is at me. Alabama????? Did you read my name? lol. I almost took every rod I own out to the shop and put the trigger to the belt sander. lol.
  4. After vacation and fishing 10+ hours a day for 6 days, I decided that I don't like the trigger on my casting rods. Or the location of it, anyway. I fish with the trigger between my little finger and my ring finger, and by the end of the day my little finger is done. It is starting to hurt even when I am not fishing. Now that I am done whinning, my question is: can the trigger be moved towards the butt of the rod an inch to an inch and a half? Or do they make a casting rod reel seat without a trigger? I understand that the trigger was needed where it is, when we used pistal grip handles. But todays fishermen usually have the reel in their hand, more than than we did with pistal grips. Thanks for any help. Can I patened the idea? lol.
  5. Getting a lipless crank smashed while you're burning it is my favorite. But getting your wrist nearly broken while fishing soft plastics is pretty fun too.
  6. Watermelonseed, Watermelon/red fished weightless, or with a 1/32 to 1/8 splitshot in the wind. Retrieve varies, slow like a T-rig worm, or twitch/ pause, or fast twitch like walking the dog bait. I have a cousin in central fla and he fishes the fluke 70% of the time.
  7. Just talked to a friend that said 4 different people that know the guy that caught it, have confirmed that it is indeed that big. The fish is being certified and we will hear more about it in the near future.
  8. What line are you using for a leader? Floro sinks, mono floats.
  9. Have not tried the Tatsu, but it is P-line Halo for me.
  10. Yes, there is a PC app. When you download the PC app, you have 5 other downloads with it. One for your desk top, one for lap top, one for phone, ect.
  11. Ott, E2, KVD would be my top 3, in that order. Then Gman or T. Horton.
  12. Thanks, Oldschool. I have to agree with you, FD has given help and knowledge to every question/post that I have seen posted about central fl. This site is about the best I've been on, as far as info goes. A person could learn quite alot without ever posting. Just search for generic questions, then ask specific questions that will generate specific answers. Good luck with your future home site and church search.
  13. Nice. A daddy has to do what a daddy has to do.
  14. A friend of mine buys Vicious in bulk pretty cheap. He swears by it.
  15. Good...........................hunting/eating when the season is open.
  16. I fished braid when I was an inexperienced fisherman, because it helped me "feel" what was happening, and I always kept a tight line to the sinker. As I became more experienced, I learned to trust what I was doing. The braid has great feel on a tight line, but not on slack line. Floro has better feel on a slack line. I also, at the time, didn't trust floro. Floro became better and I became more willing to spend the xtra $ on quality floro. If you ask "whats the best floro", you'll get many answers. But I like and trust P-line Halo. I haven't had any issues useing floro for my main line. But I also would have no problem going back to braid tomorrow.
  17. I used to fish all braid w/floro leader. But the past 3 years I've fished all floro except top water. 15 # Halo on pitching rod, 12 # halo on most of the rest, 10# halo on crankin rod.
  18. I would have to say: Dale Hollow. Or in these parts: Dale Holler.
  19. Rage Craw, Guido Sow Bug, Guido Bug.
  20. Lipless cranks, 3" swimbaits, craws, eels, goby's, spinnerbaits.
  21. Thanks for all the help, guys. Can't afford another rod (or divorce lol) so I have to go with what I have. On that note, I hadn't even looked at my C-rig rod. So I made it my frog rod for this trip. It is 7'2" HVY XF. Again, thanks for the input.
  22. Thanks for the help FD. I picked an XL broom handle and some 1/8" stainless steel cable from work today . Do you think that will do the trick?
  23. I need to pick a rod to use for frogs, on my trip to Kissimee chain the first week of March. 7'2" MH+, 7'8" M, 7' M. I use the 7' M for buzz baits and frogs here at home, but we don't have the thick vegitation and big fish, that Florida does. So, do I need to use one of the other rods for frogs while I'm down there? Or do I even need to go bigger like a flippin stick? Thanks for the help.
  24. I like fishing and I'm from Tennessee ( The Vols ).
