I typically just use monofilament, Braid works well, though.

I think you will enjoy that setup. I have that setup and it's versatile. I have used it primarily with plastics and spinner baits, and I think it going to be my dedicated spinnerbait rig.

Do they make those in left hand models?

In that price range I've heard good things about the Browning Stalkers at Bass Pro Shop. I have no experience with them, though.

Just found this forum and had to join up! I've fished since I was very young. My grandparents retired to Lay Lake in Alabama and I spent a lot of time there fishing with my grandfather. He was more into crappie (I enjoy that also....good eatin') but we always did our share of bass fishing as well. In my teens I got more into playing in the water (skiing and such) and after college I got busy with work. Lately I've gotten back into fishing and have enjoyed fishing from a solo canoe (Old Towne Guide 119). Glad to be here!
