All this negativity has me thinking none of you like to fish just try it and put it away like we do with all the stuff we end up buying or try it and learn to master it, if you don't lose it first. I don't have downscan, sidescan or even brainscan, thats why I'm not going to throw the $25 one I got. I'm still waiting for the bulk pack of 10 that I got for 40 bucks so that I can experiment with. It's obvious this is a consumer driven product, otherwise it would only cost 5 bucks If you take a good look at it anyone could determine that it's about 50 cents worth of wire and tin (like pizza an average $2 of bread, sauce, and ingredients...but you can sell it from $10-$20) When I get my pack of 10 I'll rig them all and that will be all I take to the lake that day,if the fish are on then it should kickask if they are off then this thing is supposed to turn them on when nothing else will will report back
  5. www.lewscustombaits.com good prices good quality u tell him how soft or hard u want the plastic to be... has lots of molds and sizes tell him steve from the post office sent u
  6. try charlie chugos or lunkercity slugos- 4" with ewg mustad hook with barb insert and 12-15 lb flouro they cast 30-40yds and sink relatively well cause of the line. Want a little deeper insert 2 penny nails. These will get you quantity to fill the livewell and the occasional quality fish
  7. Wow.Here's a story 15-20 years ago I fell in love with the charlie's "chugo's" salt &pepper color bought about 20 bags(10 in each) at k-mart when we still had one for $3.39 ea. used them conservatively just when I thought I was going low on supply- around 2006- I hunted the makers down with the address on the package and dialing 411 I reached them and talked to a lady said they weren't doing much of anyhing plastic wise, just selling bait I told here how fond I was of these things and how I really caught tons of fish (1 chugo would catch from 8-10 fish before rendered useless) she told me to hang on as she looked around a bit- she found a big plastic bag with hundreds in it-and other big bags with bulk amounts of other colors.MISSED OPPURTUNITY 1: Her offer was this: 100 chugos for 20 bucks well I didn't have a credit card at that time so I got a good address and said I would send a money order. never did. MISSED OPPURTUNITY 2: For $150 she'd sell me a mold, since I didn't know the inner workings of plastic worm making I passed on it I guess I didn't act on any of this because after we hung up I intensely searched my hoarded amount of plastics and found several packages and other colors as well still have 4-5 bags somewhere just went to the link you supplied(thanks for that) new owners new location now I'm really heartbroken...new price...and new amount...less oh well thats how it goes.
  8. good article thanks for the link
  9. thanks thats one of them
  10. links...stalker swim jig> www.fishstalkertackle.com warhead jig> www.purepoisonjigs.com zero gravity jig> www.customluresunlimited.com if you want to read the article it's in the september/october2011 bassmaster
  11. thanks but I was to vague as to the description these baits are big jigs but not made of metal before I invest around $75 I'd like to know any experiences good or bad they cost $5-$7 each one has 1ft per 3 second fall-wareaglejigs another has 1ft per 5.5 second fall-purepoisonjigs and another about the same-customlures
  12. I use them in the fall when the bass bring up the shad and start to tear them up on the surface less sound seems not to scatter the baitfish as much and the weight lets me get it down below all the commotion where the bigger more lazy ones just hang out waiting for injured bait to trickle down to them. If you have looked at an aquarium with about 20 fish in it, the same process takes place on a smaller scale when you throw the flakes in.
  13. saw some in bassmaster mag if anyone has tried which would be best for spawn beds this spring
  14. Gambler 10 inchers in green pumpkin loaded with garlic

Pass this on: Barlow;s.com; 10 unfinished rigs for 39.95 Swivels for 6.95 x2 and some eyes for a few more bucks. Ordered mine dec.25th 2 week wait. But I know I won;t be crying if I get hung up. Won't be a 40 to 50 dollar loss w/baits and all. I had been researching to make my own when I stumbled on to this bulk package For now I did get one from powertackle for 25 plus tax no shipping cause they make them here in town. My town: Del Rio Texas. My lake: Amistad.
