A 6' 3"? Or a 6' 6"?

I know that smallies love crawdads, but i'm just now getting into smallmouth fishing. Where should i throw it? With what type of weight? And what depth should i fish during the summer?

So you buy a deep rainbow trout crankbait?

Do you have any other techniques you use with grubs?

I've had trouble at being able to tell what the bass are feeding on in lakes and ponds. I know it's really important to be using a similar lure that looks like the baitfish. Any advice on what i can do to find out what the baitfish look like??

no i'm just cleaning the inside of the reel, but i don't want i to mess anything up

i need to clean my reel after a weekend on the water and i only have 91% alcohol to clean my reel. any other suggestions on what i should use to clean my reel?

i kept the tension, my knob is fine, and i was fishing Stren Mono

After a weekend on the water, i saw some loose line after a cast, and i didnt have time to fix it so i reeled over it and it didnt bother me the rest of the trip. I went home afterward and pulled the line out and as i started getting toward the bottom, my line was really loose and it was badly backlashed as i got toward my original knot. What did i do wrong while putting the line on my Quantum Smoke baitcaster?

Today I put on the Berkley Vanish Fluorocarbon 12lb test fishing line on my Quantum Smoke baitcasting reel. I thought i had made a great choice, but on my first cast i kept my thumb on the line, but still saw some mild backlash, i pulled some line out and noticed that the more i pulled out, the worse the backlash and loose line got. I pulled all of it out to the knot, then reeled it back in. My next cast, I was extra carefull to tightly keep my thumb on the line, but it did the same thing. I pulled all of it out and cut the line. Can someone tell me why this happened?
