I will usually start with 3 seconds, but I also try to find what the fish will like and try different lengths for the pause and usually the fish will tell you what they want.

Cad- I've heard that same about the WI river as well man I have to make a trip down there this summer. I haven't had a 20-30 fish day in a while. I've been into big lures for the bigger girls the last few years. down- I have been tying jig's for about 3 years now started when I was 17, just trying to not go crazy in the long winters here in WI.

That's pretty cool I haven't fished down there yet but I have some friends down there that like it a lot. You fish on the Mississippi River at all? I have used many braids and the ghost is a sweet looking braid, but it seemed like when I was using it for jig's and T-rig's I couldn't get any hit's. I then switched to my sunline and got bites. So idk if it was just the timing or the line. I ended using the line for top water and it's was awesome for that! For a spinning rig I would try the new Sunline sx1 it's a sweet line as well. Check it out at tackle warehouse.
