I have a Kistler Helium LTA and love it. A guide insert popped out last year--Kistler promply addressed the problem--no hassle. I have never had a problem with the reel seet. I also have legend elite and premier rods. Love these as well. Can't go worng either way IMO. Comes down to preference

Thanks all! I know many of you have mentioned that the Rat L Trap is being redesigned or has been: Eagle hooks, oval ring and new finsish. Cabela's is not carrying them. Oh well.

Many of you reccomend the #4 treble replacements by various companies in lieu of the standard hooks on the original Rat L Trap. I brought them home and they appear a bit larger than the hooks currently on thse baits. Is that a problem? Thanks!

Hi all, Three items concerning these three reels: 1. General thoughts on these reels. 2. Are there reliability issues with the Cabela reel? 3. Do I need waterproof drag (Tierra) and corrosion-resistant bearings (Tierra) if I fish exsclsuively in fresh water? Thanks.

Is replacement hook consideration for Rat-L-Trap dependant on species (i.e., smb vs. lmb) What's best for SMB?
