  1. Sexy Shad 1.5 is a great go-to bait!
  2. When I switched from spinning to baitcasters, I hit the local pawn shops . . . I picked up several low-profile Abu Garcia, Shimano, and Pinnacle low-profile reels with graphite rods for $20-$40 each.
  3. LOL Freshwater: Fished all over Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Alabama with dad, rivers and lakes, my whole life. Saltwater: Florida 4 times, Alabama 4 times, and spent a week in Alaska last summer fishing for Halibut. I have 2 step-sons, whose biological father has never taken them fishing . . . I take them when I can pry them away from their video games. I am trying . . . IS there anyone else to pull for in football? Steve
  4. Long time lurker, decided to join because I really like this site! I live in SE KY on Laurel Lake, and have recently got into bass fishing big-time. I grew up fishing with my father, rivers and lakes and deep-sea. When I got older, work, college, family, grad school, etc. got in the way, and I would go years without fishing. Dad died a couple of years ago, and I started fishing more and more: Halibut in Alaska, bass fishing all over KY and TN, and going back to the Gulf fishing this summer. Fishing reminds me of Dad . . . and I like that. I love reading your posts, most are very educational, and some are even well written! Thanks for having a great site! Steve
