I might just drive you people nuts :P:P When I went to tackle warehouse, I just came across the classic gold, like the wild black it too has a rod that matches his likes. So both of those have, 6'7", M-M-s, and it says it's marked down to 124 (price range of wild black with an MSRP of 299$ inflated?) anyhow last inquiry lol...what in the heck is the difference between these, just the big name associated with it (Boyd Duckett) more differences. If it's a way better rod and same price I'd LOVE to blow his socks off. He's a great daddy, to his little one, tirelessly pays support and works his A** off and looses fishing time because of it, so I'm itching to give him at least a portion of his due thanks again for not eating the noob alive haha.

THANKS everyone!! I did debate the gift card lol, but you hit the nail right on the head with the personal, I guess it's a toss up especially since there are so many fine details to fishing and it's so person specific. But if I don't do the gift card, I think I stay close to his desires which would point me at the wild black. Thanks for the input everyone! really appreciated it!

Need Some Help Deciding Between Carrot Stix For Dad Pls! :)
First of all let me say that while I'm watched him fish a lot and even caught a few myself I'm not knowledgeable with all things bass fishing I did however discreetly pick his brain while he was going on and on about how badly he wants a carrot stix and why. (lol that glazed over look telling me about the sensitivity etc etc very cute from the adoring female perspective) I did a little research but really where I'm stuck is which one of the 3 spinning rods. I did notice that only the wild black had all the things he was mentioning while we were talking. But before purchasing the wild black just because it had the medium and medium action speed and 6'7" he mentioned, maybe I should understand the differences between the 3 styles because I did notice that the other two (micro and wild) had a medium/heavy and fast action in the 6'7" **He uses Sanko worms religiously (has others but that's what I've always seen him default to) **He was ranting abotu the carrot stix because of the lightness and sensitivity, (haha and other stuff i can't remember) **He seemed to note the differences between fast and medium were important and why i was concerned with the wild, and microguide styles. also I was wondering if from reading the above anyone has personal experience with these rods and other comparable ones. And would trip over themselves to tell me the other ones they've used are so much better I should consider them instead. It might be something to consider, so please feel free to suggest if you've used both and find something superior to carrot stix please let me apologize in advance for any of my post that reeks of "I don't know what I'm talking about" LOL, because I don't, Thanks for any help
