What G Loomis Rod For Me?
I am getting ready to stock up for spring and i want a new rod.I am currently using a Shimano Sahara reel and I mainly use crank baits/senkos/top water/spinners.I am pretty much looking for a good all around rod and since i only fish from the shore i wont carry more then one rod unless i am fishing on a boat.I like gloomis because of the warranty, and the overall good reviews that i hear from fellow fisherman. The max i will pay is $400, but would be nice if you guys can give me some low end to high end prices though

Dinger Vs. Senko What Do You Think?
In comparison with the Gary Yamamoto Senko, the YUM Dinger is constructed of stiffer material, which lends to a single dinger lasting two to three times as long as a Senko. On top of this, a 12-pack of Dingers will run you around $4.00, where a 10-pack of Senkos is up around $8.00. This price difference along with the fact that you will probably run through two bags of Senkos before finishing one bag of Dingers, may take a serious economic toll on those of us who depend on the stick bait as a staple in our tackle box. Furthermore, YUM offers a fork-tailed variety as well as a hook channel in the side of the bait to assist in texas rigging. Pros: - Durable - Cost effective - Large color selection - Forktail available - Texas rigging hook channel Cons: - Not salt impregnated Gary Yamamoto Senkos Apart from the fact that Senkos are softer to the touch, they are also salt impregnated, where YUM Dingers are simply in a bag with salt coating them. I find that this salt simply rinses right off after a few casts, where the flavor of the Senko is built right into the bait, and therefore lasts as long as the Senko does, which tends to be not to long due to the softness of the plastic. Pros: - Salt impregnated - Great action - Swim version available Cons: - Not very durable - Expensive Final Thought The softness difference between the two stick baits is the first point of interest. You are undoubtedly going to get a lot more mileage out of a pack of Dingers, yet many argue that the softer construction of the Senko lends to better action, and along with the salt impregnation justifies the price difference. Many, on the other hand, enjoy the wide color selection provided by YUM and swear by the forktail variety. The texas rigging channel, also being a plus for the dinger. In the end I have to make a choice, however, and it is the YUM dinger. For me YUM offers a win win deal with dingers, pay less, get more. I have fished both extensively, and actually prefer the feel and action of the Dinger over the Senko, and have landed more, and bigger fish on the Dinger. The fact of the matter is this: if you drop a dinger in front of Mr. Bass, he will eat it, and how can you get any better than that i did not write this article i thought it would be a good one though because alot of guys on here like using plastic baits

nope its a different spot, by clinton road. It use to be a glacier then it froze and made a lake, the water looks like your in florida, you can see 15 feet down, and the lake is over 80 feet deep so there some big pike, muskies, and cats there. Its a 3 miles hike up a moutain though but worth it

Nj Warming Up
All of these fish were caught using a blue fox (vibrax)#4 inline spinner/ color blue, all of the fish were caught in the past two days even the catfish! I have nine other pictures but there to big to upload? Also im sick of paying $ 7:50 for a pack of Gary yomomoto senkos, so i ordered 135 rubber worms off of bassproshop that look identical for 15$, and there salt impregnated. So i will do a report when i get them in the mail p.s that one pickerel i caught i was on the phone with my gf when i caught it haha

Shimano Sahara Quick Review
have any of you guys tried using braid? is it good with this reel

Shimano Sahara Quick Review
I was recently unsure to what reel i should invest money in,and i was thinking about getting the ci4 and even a stella but i came to the conclusion that i didnt want to spend that much money, so i bought the shimano sahara 2500, its not that cheap and not that expensive, and i have been killing it, since i bought this reel about a month ago i easily caught over 200 fish.this reel is super smooth and crazy sensitive i can feel every little bump in the line it also a good line management system. The way the lip of the spool is crafted it lets you cast a mile and you rarely get knots/loops in you line or spool. For tackle i use everything, mainly senkos, crankbaits and spinners.the biggest fish i caught off this reel so far was a 32 pound carp in my local lake i was only using 8 pound fluro so it really shows how good the drag system is on this reel.I give this reel a 9/10

How Do I Fish With Plastic Worms?
all i use is rubber worms/ senkos/ garrys .This year i have caught over 300 bass and over thirty 5+ pounders and have every picture to prove it . i wacky rig a senko or rubber worm what ever u want to call it. best line to use for me is 8 pound fluro, and the best worms to use are a size 5. all i do is cast it, jig the tip of my rod 3 times and let it hit the bottom. 90% of your strikes are going to be on the fall. once on the bottom jig your poll straight up and send the worm up into the water and let it fall back on the bottom. for color i usally go with a darker color when the water is less visable, and a bright color when the water is clear. This is amazing in open water and even better around tree/cover because the bass think its a worm falling out of a tree. Also worms are a great all around lure, this year i caught muskie, pike, pickerel, wally eye and even catfish all off the rubber worms

Spiderwire Invisi-Braid Line-How It Effects Your Lures And Plastics
i meant to say a cleaner hook set like it doesnt rip a gapping hole in the fishes mouth from the strength of the braid. but its really whats best for you the state record bass in my state is under 11 pounds so theres no need to use super strong line in my eyes. but i have also never really used braid so im just really giving my opinion on what i think is best for me

Nj So Far Is Great
solid day of fishing last week, i was using 6 inch senkos wacky rigged& some crank bait's sizes 2.0 and 2.5.The 5lb + was off a 2.5 deep bomber crank bait, i had a 8+pounder on my line and as soon as it surfaced about 5 feet away from me, it snapped my line and took my lure this is 3 hours of fishing when we had that hot day last week. i caught alot more and have pics but the files are to big to upload

Help With Bass Spinning Reel
Hey im really stumped on what to buy, i only want to spend $200-220 on a reel, so far i like the reviews on the ci4 but i found that some people think its flimsy which could be big problem, also since the spool is small is this going to be a problem using 8-10lb test? lmk what your favorite bass reel is in the 200$ price range
