  1. As a custom rods builder I see lots of different brand rods that come in my shop for repair. Here now is a Zodias 7 ft MH spinning rod that had already broken twice in the tip area. First right behind the tip top and now two inches down the rod. Yes it is light in weight but I am not very impressed. For a rod that retails for $200.00 Shimano is using old school and CHEAP guides. For that price it should have Fuji K series tangle free guides all the way out. So IMHO its not worth the asking price.
  2. That link was very helpful. As a custom builder I was able to determine that the blank Ihave is a fast action just on a seven foot rod. I can match the rod diameter and line class and now the action to come up with a very similiar rod. Thanks Tom
  3. A friend gave me his "favorite" rod the other day and asked if I would build one exactly like it. I have been looking to no avail in finding this rod online to get the specs on it. I have seen a few of these but am not real familiar with them. The rod is a Quarrow GreenCountry ML3 , and the lable on it says OTC705F 7'0" Medium Line 12-25 lb. lure 3/8-1oz. From what I can feel it appears to be a moderate action blank. The tip is a 5.5 I asked him if this was a crankbait rod and he didn't know but does not use it for that purpose. Does anyone know anything about these rods and where I can get some real info on the OTC705F Your help would be greatly appreciated. Tom
