  1. "Mike Tyson sweating at a spelling bee" You guys are on a roll today. However, finally someone has caught a fish, for me to document. CaptitollP, you are indeed at 70". Still holding at 3rd place.
  2. If its expensive fluoro, then your culprit is a bad knot. Everyone has given you the right advise. Moisten your line before you cinch it down.
  3. YOU GUYS ARE OUT OF CONTROL, I tell ya. I just saw the vid with my wife, and I was laughing again like I never saw it. She even laughed to and she doesn't even know you guys. MCS, your last thread was funny as heck. Good One.
  4. Martin I still can't get over that vid. If there were to be a BR award, you won hands down, on best vid category!!
  5. Stay out of Holiday. Last time I passed through there, the water was up on the parking lot.
  6. Martin THAT WAS AWESOME!!! I CAN'T STOP LAUGHING!!! You are the man!! Thank you so much for the laugh. I am still laughing. You are very talented indeed.
  7. Let me try again. That last thread did not make sense. MCS over time you will notice that b/c is more versatility than what you are experiencing now.
  8. MCS each outfit has it's pros and cons. You are still a rookie on the b/c, give it more time and you will pick up on that.
  9. Just from what you telling me, it's going to be an eye opening experience for you. From a boat the experience is different. Your skills have to be honed in a little more because you have to hit your spot sometimes with the boat moving. You can fish with a spinner if you want, but you will have more muscle with a B/C.
  10. After I wrote that sentence, I knew you were thinking our competition. It was meant to inform you when you come down in the spring. I did not want you to think that the outings was going to be short. Because they are not. When I go fishing and I have a timetable, I just won't go. When I fish out there, I like to fish with no mental restraint.
  11. Since I have been a kid, I have wanted to fish that particular canal. I fished eon's ago the canal that runs perpendicular across the street in the plaza where the footlocker is located. All of these canals have fish. Work the culverts, and work the cover when available. The county cleans these canals frequently, so cover is sparse sometimes. Rvadog, your area is stacked with good spots all within 3-5 mile radius. I have been fishing your area a lot recently. The fish in my avatar was caught five minutes from the canal in question location. I know what your thinking and no I will not reveal the location, however, I emphasize your area is stacked with plenty of spots.
  12. Save your money, look at all the vids and articles, available to you here on this site. For additional help, follow bassresource on YouTube, and the best part is its FREE!!
  13. You see there's a difference to be said about fishing times. 1. You fish 2 hrs because that's the only time you have available to you, or 2. You fish that long because you can only tolerate so much of the outside conditions. I am mostly # 1. However, when its an Everglades fishing day, the clock goes out the window. I will fish 8-9hrs continuous, except thru thunderstorms. Heat or cold. So AK, be warned....
  14. Fish longer, catch more fish....
  15. Funny thing is I have one. But I use it for the winter on those cold morning runs. I tried using it once in the heat and my glasses kept fogging over. I should have ordered the Columbia buff that has the vented holes by the nose.
  16. I have to agree with LGMouth. Proper clothing; long sleeve shirts and pants with moisture wicking material makes a very big difference. Add on to that a good hat and good pair of sunglasses and you and be outside for a while. I wear the same type of clothing when I go to the glades minus the buff.
  17. Before I do that, I would consider inserting a footpedal tray instead.
  18. I keep my soft plastics in their designated bags, then I mark a plano box with the styles of baits I have in it. I bank fish a lot, however before my outing I take the bags and lures I need. Being mindful that I am on foot, I only load up on the essentials.
  19. Martin great clip. I miss Steve Irwin. Martin you should be our resident Audio/Visual guy. You always come up with the best clips for any situation. Pretty Cool!
  20. Good for LMG. The rest of us and fish do however. LOL
  21. I have not had any experience with the bitter bait. However, I have used the zoom ultra vibe speed worms for years, they are durable, but if you come across a short fish and you set and miss there is a possibility of worm missing the tail. Yanking it out of weeds, will also cause a worm to rip. Now if you guys are telling me that those bitter vibe worms can with stand those scenario's then I will consider switching.
  22. 80, I will take the 80's in a heartbeat. 92-93 with high humidity wears on you after a several months properly clothed or not.
  23. I hear that. But, the fishing down here would benefit if it cooled off a little bit more than the 90's day in and out.
  24. LOL, that's good enough for you LGMouth?
  25. Consider yourselves fortunate for the cooler weather. We have at least a month and change before anything remotely changes down here, if not longer.
