hey guys, I have a question about my first boat.... It has a 115 Johnson fast strike with oil injection.. would you bypass the oil injection and mix the gas yourself to prevent a problem in the future? Also, would you recommend adding a little oil to the gas in combination with the oil injection system.... the owers manual states that when high performance boating, whatever that is, to add oil 50:1 to the gas in combination with the oil injection... Any help would be great as this is my first boat.......thanks darren

I am currently looking at a 96 stratos f/s, 18ft with a 115 Johnson. has 12/24 evenrude trollin motor, lowerance fish finder, in dash depth finder dual aerated live wells. The body is extremely well taken care of. the owner was maticulous about keeping it in good shape. only a few minor scrapes but carpet and seats in great shape. Does anyone have any issues with this motor. I have heard of powerhead problems,,can anyone give me some help. He is asking 7500. whatcha think.....darren

I have been around boats for awhile now but have never operated one on my own before. I am in the process of getting a fish and ski(Stratos) as my first boat. I will use it mainly to fish and have the option to bring friends out to ski. It is a 96 with a 115hp johnson(oil injection). he is asking 8500 for it. my first question is do you think that is reasonable(boat in really good shape). My second question is any tips on how to properly operate a boat, all the way from ulnoading to loading to on the water tips would really be appreciated. thanks darren

when I cast a heavier rat l trap(sorry dont know the exact size), when it hits the water it sounds like I am casting a huge rock in. Is there a way to soften the presentation/ thanks darren

I have read all the posts about night fishing and have learned alot. I am preparing to night fish at Truman Res with my uncle and had just a few questions. Is a black light absolutely neccessary? If so could you suggest a good line to use with it. From the posts I learned that black and blue buzzbaits,spinnerbaits with colorado blade and black lizzards or tex.rig worms are good to use. any other suggestions would be great.. thanks darren

I'm in Wentzville, MO about 2 and a half hours from Sedalia, MO where my uncle lives and is in the air force stationed at Whiteman afb... We fished at truman lake last weekend but unfortunately it was colder than a witches titty and we only caught 6 smaaaaaaaaaalllll ones......darren

I have never tried c rigging and was wondering what are the beads for and are they really necessary? can I get by with the weight, swivel, leader, and hook? Or am I really confused sorry, real new at this :-* :-/
