  1. Hey all! Just got home from a trip to rancho seco here by Sacramento. Kind of a little confused by the pattern of the fish. I ended up catching 3 between 11 to 1, which is small number compared to the amount I saw. in total I saw perhaps 30 fish, all cruising along the bank. Ranging from 1 pound to about 3. They didn't seem spooked or anything. Problem is I couldnt get any of them to bite. i tried everything from poppers, cranks, lipless cranks to spinners and worms. The three I did catch were on a senko. once I did realize they were always close, my first cast would always be away from the water a little as to not scare them, and also spent many more casts along the bank where I would see the fish. Any reason they not hitting atm?? Bites I did have were so subtle, only reason I knew to set the hook was the line moving after the fish continued on after picking the bait up. weather was about 87, 8 mph north with (wind has been cosntant for the past week.) Thanks for any advice!
  2. Thanks for the tip! Just picked up some brush hogs in that color on Saturday, funny enough.
  3. wbudsanders started following Lake Amador, Ca
  4. Haven't been to the lake in years so don't remember much about it. But plan on headed up there this saturday with the boat. Anyone offer any tips or some color/lures good up there?? =D
  5. Hey all!! Finally decided to join. Looking forward to it! Been gettin extremely into bass fishin for past 6 months or so. Finally at the point and age that I'll take the time to do research on my local fisheries to better my odds! Over all been fishing since I was old enough to hold a rod! Locally I like hitting Rancho Seco, small cooling lake for a nuclear plant around this area. Slowly learning it more and more every weekend but got a good grip on their patterns. Looking forward to startin on the bigger lakes like Amador and trying to tame the Delta! Happy fishin!
