Anyone else out on Long Island? I'm looking forward to June 1st! Torn between starting the season @ Lake Ronkonkoma, Lake Canaan in Patchogue or Millers Pond in Smithtown. Any thoughts? Anyone else playing hooky that Friday?

My name is Chris, I'm 37 years old and have been fishing since I could walk, thanks to my grandfather. I moved back to NY from North Carolina in 2005 and due to a bad accident that year, fishing was put on hold. This is going to be my first season back fishing on Long Island. I just picked up my fishing license and I am in the process of ressurecting my poles and lures. I look forward to getting back in the swing of things and picking the brains of those here!
