yeah i fished that tournament idk where they were but those fish were huge. me and my partner caught a lot just not any big ones. i got the youth angler leader award and won a shimano reel/rod so that was nice

i put in at either sturgeons creek or Anna point so yes i do have access to the warm side however i dont fish it much due to i only have a old 25 HP so i generally don't go too much farther than sturgeons. any good places up where like anna point is? what about all those points and things are they any good this time of year? thanks

I fish shallow water with the KVD 1.5 shallow running crankbait. I use the color I forget what it is called but its black on top and just white on the rest of it. It looks like a shad basically. I have had good luck fishing it around stumps/rocks and shallow grass. I will try the yatomoto senko around structure if there is no strong current or wind. also shallow grass I pitch a beaver style bait with a heavy weight into the grass and pull it back out. Although I need heavier line. I have through topwater in the mornings with no success. I have not tried spinnerbait but it may produce.

hey man thank you for the information I will definatly try this. I ask all this because I went a few days agoa and had luck fishing outside the grass with a senko. However I could see bass in the grass and they just wudnot come out. I tried to cast my senko into the grass but it did not work well. so thanks for all the information and hey we should meet up sometime and fish!

hello guys I fish lake anna, VA a lot. In fact that's the main lake I fish so I have been catching bass on the edges of deep(8ft) and shallow grass(1-3) using senkos. I feel like I could catch a lot more if I started flipping and pitching into it. I have a couple baits in mind to throw but im unsure about the equipment to use. I have a few questions 1) can you flip and pitch braid? 2) what kind of rod such as medium, or heavy....? 3) what are good baits to throw into grass? 4) what is a good reel ratio for this? 5) what height for the rod? 6) what size weight? 7) pegged or not? 8) should I just let the bait sink then drag it across bottom or pop it up in down? 9) should I try topwater? and I know this is a stupid question but how exactly do u flip and pitch I cannot find a good video that shows it?
