  1. Lol. Don't feel bad. At least you can type. Some people don't know how to do it at all!
  2. Hey, guys, is the triple surgeon's knot any good? I'm going to practice the other knots you suggested, but I'm curious about the TSK.
  3. Thanks for the heads up about barrel swivels. Which size do you recommend for panfishing?
  4. Alright, then. You recommended that I use 20lb braid for inshore fishing, Snook. What size fluorocarbon line should I use for the leader, and how long of a leader do you suggest?
  5. I'd like to at least give them a try.
  6. Thanks for your response. The first rod is just for panfishing with soft plastics, so I'm not really concerned about that. The second rod is an inshore saltwater rod, though. Can you explain the sizing to me, please? What's small, what's large? I'm not sure what size line is going on the inshore rod, but the panfish rod will have 20/6# braid. What size swivel would suffice for it?
  7. I plan to attach a fluorocarbon leader to braid line on a couple of rods. I've never used swivels before, so I'm not quite sure what type I need.
  8. I was thinking about getting some, too. How often do you guys use it on your rod handles?
  9. I googled pictures of pinfish and I believe you're right. Thanks for your help!
  10. That's cool. I wanted to use shrimp, but my Dad insisted that I use worms. I'm not gonna catch much with worms, am I? I'm after redfish, specks, and black drum. Shrimp's good for those, right? I have so much to learn lol.
  11. Lol. That was my initial thought. I caught them on dilly worms. Whatever the heck they are, they have small, human-like teeth. I'm just getting into inshore saltwater fishing, so this is very weird to me lol.
  12. I went fishing in Calcasieu Parish today and caught several of these fish. What species is it?
  13. I understand that the champs want to protect their legacies, but I'll still love them just the same if they lose. It's not as if they stop being great fighters if they lose superfights.
  14. That fight was awesome. Just like Frye's trunks. I'm sure the UFC will continue to do what it's already doing: signing the best fighters from other promotions. Who the hell would pass up the UFC? Besides, as many countries as the UFC is gaining entrance to, I'm sure there's plenty of foreign fighters to be had.
  15. It really sucks seeing the veterans retire. He hasn't done so yet, but Wanderlei will probably be another one soon.
  16. I didn't have a problem with the stoppage. If Lavigne had let it continue, I wouldn't have had a problem with that, either. Overall, it was a disappointing card. I agree with you, Tipptruck. As long as the fight is entertaining (like Shogun v. Henderson), it can go all 3 or 5 rounds.
  17. Found it! The medium-heavy holds lures from 3/8 oz. to 1 oz. Source: http://www.torpedo7.co.nz/products/HCROBNNCJ/title/hurricane-calico-jack-7ft-spinning-rod
  18. http://www.sportsauthority.com/product/index.jsp?productId=11557047&cp=&sr=1&kw=calico+jack&origkw=calico+jack&parentPage=search According to this site, the 7' medium Calico Jack has a lure weight of 3/8 oz. to 3/4 oz. I'm still searching for the medium-heavy.
  19. I don't even think there's a place to watch it around here. We don't have a Hooter's or Buffalo Wild Wings, or anything like that. Plus, I like to hear Rogan's hilarious commentary, so watching it in a public place ruins that. I'm so psyched, dude! It's gonna be nice to finally put all the controversy surrounding the first fight to rest.
  20. I have Silva winning, but won't be surprised if Sonnen takes it. What I loved about Sonnen in the first fight is his fearlessness. Most of Silva's opponents are hesitant to engage with the guy. Not Sonnen! Did you see the weigh-ins by any chance?
  21. I'd love to see them fight, too. That card would sell like crazy!
  22. I've been dying for the Silva v. Sonnen rematch, so I'm absolutely buying the PPV. Anyone else?
