I too am a native New Orleanian. I stumbled on your post and dusted my gear off once I started reading about the spots in South Fulton. . Hadn't heard the term sacalait in years! Thanks for sharing the tips about local ponds, Sent a PM about the East Point Lake (or the lake I believe you are talking about). If we aren't talking about the same lake, I am interested in fishing the lake you are referring to. I fished the upper lake at Twin Lakes late yesterday evening and caught six 1 to 3 pounders in less than an hour. I will definitely try the lower lake sometime this week and let you know what I find. Lake Frances has also been producing some small but feisty bass. The property is in foreclosure so you will have to access the lake from Mason Road. Not sure if the lake is part of the real estate deal, and the agent hasn't returned my calls. I used the Fulton County GIS system to see who the listed owners are. Geaux get em!!!
