So, I've just made a huge upgrade to my fishing arsenal: A kayak! So, I've broken it in a couple times on a private lake i fish, but i'm wondering if anyone knows what local public spots are kayak-friendly??

I've only been up there once, rented a jon boat for the day but spent about 80% of my time fighting getting blown around by the wind. Not a productive day fishing... Maybe someone else had a better experience? It's definitely a more boat friendly lake as far as i can tell.

I'm going to try out Collierville Civic Center and Poplar Tree Lake this week.

What can i expect going to those? And what bait would be best?

I've lived in Bartlett around three and a half years now, and can't seem to find a good spot. I have a small John boat available to me but bank fishing would preffered. Anywhere as far out as Collierville would be best. Any tips?
