  1. Yeah Im not necessarily trying to make a speed boat. and when I drag race kayakers with my 3.5 I do win. But not sure I wanna enter any races anytime soon. the boat is rated for a 3.5 but even that seems like it is too much power to the mount. in my opinion. it bends pretty good, but thats alright, ill still hold wide open full throttle. no big deal.
  2. I am asking because this is a forum full of people who own the same boat. I was collecting data to see if anybody had any suggestions, and do a little brainstorming. This is how engineers formulate ideas, and make educated decisions. Thats why I was asking.
  3. I really dont have any problems with my Tohatsu 3.5 persay, but I just feel a little uncomfortable with it bending at the amount that it is right now. The top is staying where it is and not moving, but the bottom of the mount is bending inwards. the weak point.
  4. Im no Engineer either, but I am halfway to my bachelors in an engineering degree. So im gonna tell you that it CAN be done. All I want to do is stiffen up the motor mount, as it is a plastic boat, and yes it does bend. I would prefer it did not. Ill get it done. Ill let you know how it works out.
  5. Come on, nobody knows of a way to brace the back motor mount in any way?
  6. Alright, So I have a Bass Raider 10E, that I have been using to go fishing. I really like it. I have a Tohatsu 3.5 four stroke on the back. But with that I have one issue, it seems like too much power for the boat. Not speed wise, but it starts to bend the mount on the boat. I would say a good amount at even half throttle. It moves it along at half throttle, but I would love to be able to use all the power. lol. Is there any way that I could brace the back mount. Im sure there is somebody out there that has done it. Thanks.
  7. Well guess what, New Hampshire does not title boats. So a title for ANY boat in New Hampshire does not exist. And even in NY any boat under 14 ft doesnt have a title. So lets try again.
  8. Alright. So I bought a pelican Bass Raider today. Im not sure how to register it though. It was previously registered by the guy in New Hampshire, and I am going to be needing one in New York. My issue is that there is nowhere on his new hampshire registration to transfer it over. Nowhere for him to sign over ownership. Am I missing something that I need? I do have the registration though.
