Are y'all saying that the Berkley Lightning Rod is better than the Abu Garcia Vengeance?

I am looking for a budget casting Rod in the $50 range for basic all-round bass fishing. I will probably be using a Lews reel. I am not a hardcore / tournament fisherman and, therefore, do not want to spend $100+ for a rod. Most of my fishing will be in farm ponds using worms and spinnerbaits and casting from the shore. I am leaning toward a 6.5-7' medium or m/h rod. So far, I am considering the challenger ($59) and AG Vengeance ($49). Is the AG Vendetta ($79) worth the extra cost? Are there any other rods in the $50 range I should consider? What about the Berkley lightning (40)? Thanks in advance.
