  1. The St. Joe river has got a ton of great smallmouth in it. Check out southwestmichiganbass.com and they have got a ton of great info and pictures of fishing in the southwest michigan area.
  2. Zoom's cotton candy color works for me.
  3. What a piece of junk!!!! I bought this reel and used it about 8 to 10 times and it is about shot. It will not cast half as far as my other baitcasters(one of which happens to be a cheap BPS Bionic blade I think it is called-a 40 to 50 dollar reel) About every second or third cast the handle will not engage, engages about half and makes a hellacious clunking or grinding sound, or engages about 90 percent, and makes a light clicking sound as you reel only to finish seating itself about half-way through the retrieve. Have any of you out there had similar problems with the reel or is it just my great luck. I thought I would see if anyone had any suggestions(other than returning the reel to where I bought it) before I did return it.
  4. which of these is more used by most and which do you find more effective, what helps you make the choice???

  6. Has anyone used these lures and if you have, have you had any luck with them that would prove there claims about the turbulence created by these lures.
  7. I seen sebile at the classic expo. They were very impressive, but I bought one of them and I also bought a couple of the "strike pro-flex x" and I have been way more impressed with the strike pro results over the sebile results. I have both the red head diamond and the gold flex x in the 4 1/4 inch model and the action is just unbelievable. All you do is cast it out and reel it in, it does all the work with incredible action. My biggest fish so far came on the red head diamond model, it was a 3lb 15oz largemouth, not bad for southwest michigan.
  8. I personally will no longer buy a lipless crank that has hook placement like the Bill Lewis Rattle-trap. I am a firm believer that the hook placement on these(rear hook that is)is too far forward and I miss a lot of strikes and even after hooking the fish, he has too much bait to work against to unhook himself. My favorites by far right now for action, hooking ability, fishing ability, and just overall performance is the Excalibur Xr75. It is a 3/4 oz. which is a little bigger profile and you can cast them a mile.
