  1. If that outboard on it is running good then that seems like a pretty good deal. He's willing to put in in the lake for a test ride and that shows he's not trying to get over on the buyer. That trolling motor would not keep me from buying it as long as it is in good working condition. That's an easily upgradable item. Go for a ride in it, get it checked by a mechanic and if he gives you a good report on the motor then buy it and enjoy it.
  2. Thanks for all of the welcomes. I enjoy reading all of the post. I am trying to gain as much insight on electronics and rods and reels as I can. I have my boat picked out and now just have these last few decisions to make with the electronics being the biggest challenge. I think it may be the HB 798 with SI
  3. Hello everyone, I've been lurking for a while. I plan on buying a boat in the spring and getting back into fishing. Trying to bring my knowledge up to date with all of the new technical advances that have taken place since I last fished regularly. This may tell you something if you can remember Doug Hannon's camo essence mono line that's my last " technological advance" but I did drag a 10 lber out of the hydrilla with it though. Good to be with you all and I'm sure that I'll learn quite a bit from y'all
