Thanks Guys ..... as I said in the post above I am speaking with an Accountant and other Professionals. Funny thing is, I spoke to a few and many dont understand this tax. I will continue to hunt for one that does but think I am safe from the tax in this scenario listed above and was looking to see if anyone else was dealing with this now or in the past and may have some good input. Hey Guys I am sure this question is asked a lot. I am not producing or making any products, I am in the process of opening a Tackle Shop and will discuss this with my Accountant and probably also have to call the IRS directly but thought I would ask here too .... My question is two fold for anyone that may know. 1st Question - There is a company that manufacturers plastic baits that my business intends to use. They sell in large quantities and also will charge my business 10% Excise Tax. When I get these plastic baits in I do not make any changes to them nor add anything to them, I just will bag them and sell them under my private label. Since the manufacturer is charging me excise tax, I dont believe I need to pay excise tax when I sell them as I did not manufacture them or change them in anyway. Does any one know if that is correct or not? 2nd Question - I will be carrying other products from many companies, such as ZMan, Berkley, Strike King etc..... selling those products retail is exempt from Excise Tax for me, correct? Thanks for any help, appreciate it. Again .... I know I need to ask professionals and will, I just was hoping for help from someone here who may have first hand knowledge of this. TIA

Hey Guys need some help. My club is looking to fish in the Delaware River next year in our Tournament circuit. We are mainly all located in Glen Mills PA area and Maryland area. I have never fished the Delaware before and know the bags will probably be smaller BUT we are all looking forward to exploring new water. Can anyone point me in the right direction on Boat Launches and what parts to fish? I dont mean locations as in giving up your spots I just am looking for feedback as I heard their is an upper section etc etc etc I want to make sure we are fishing in the safest part with the best opportunity to catch. We all for the most part have glass boats. TIA!

THANKS GUYS FOR THE RESPONSES. I am holding tight and finishing this year with my Ranger. I am nervous about this move so if my gut is nervous Im going to listen to it and reevaluate in the offseason.

i have a Verado 175 on my Ranger Z518c I owe 20k at 5.6% for about 10 more years. Looking at other Rangers for sale like mine I believe I can sell close to 30k. I do pay more monthly so it will payoff faster. I want a Bigger Boat with at least a 225 on it and it would nice to get a warranty with the new boat for a few years if needed. I believe the interest rate should be at 6% for 15years with 10k down.

Its a 250L Pro XS Four Stroke with torque master. If I downsize to a 225 it drops to 49,999 Its a great deal. Just hard to let my 2012 Ranger go but I think the Nitro would the smart move

Thanks Guys .... I did price it out aBrand New Z20 2019 Nitro for $51,175. Crazy how cheap it is with all these features. This is why I am struggling on trading in my Ranger or not. Ranger z520 is running for @ $70k, Nitro z20 is running for @ 52k

Thats my issue. I have a Ranger and feel even though I am upsizing that I may be losing out getting a Nitro. However, I have heard Nitro has taken huge steps forward over the last 3 or so years and are making good boats. I would very much like a bigger boat and a 250 with warranties (as my boats warranties are done). I just can not afford a new Ranger but can afford the Nitro. Thanks for the input. LOL thanks

Yes not to bad. They seem nice. I heard all kinds of rumors like their seats fall apart within a year stupid stuff like that. The boat looks nice, it felt nice sitting in it but I did not take it for a ride.

Hi Everyone, I have a 2012 Ranger Z518C with a 175 Verado. Its in good shape with low miles. I still owe about 20k on this boat. In my area, it looks like I could probably sell for about 28 - 32k. I keep reading how much better Nitros have been made in the last coupe of years. I would really like to upgrade to a 20ft boat with a 250 four stroke but the new Rangers are out of my price range. The Nitros however are about 20k cheaper. What are your thoughts about moving from an older Ranger to a New Nitro, good or bad? Thanks for any input.

he told me it's not removable as in you just reach down and pull it out. He said you would have to break it to get it out. Since I'm not wanting to break anything on a new boat, does it matter that each side is only 13 gallons in size? Is that to small of a shape for 5bass over 15 inches? Or should I just bust it out and use a culling system when I have a rider on board?

Thanks for the response. Will it matter how its seperated? First dealer told me its a 26 gallon Tank with a removable divider(with holes) so you can make it one 26 gallon tank. The other Dealer told me the Divider is NOT removable and you have two sides that equal 13 gallons but the divider has holes so the water is shared with both sides. Does this matter?

Hey guys...sorry to keep asking questions but I narrowed this down to 2 boats and I have one more. I am deciding between a 2015 Nitro Z7 for abour 32k with some updates. or a 2014 Skeeter (Left over) with the same updates but this also has a Hot Shoe and the cost is about 29k. Here is where I need help, I fish tourneys, I just joined a Bass Club here in PA. The Skeeter is showing two live wells 13 gallons seperated by a divider. I think I can remove the divider so does that make it a 26 gallon or is it 13 gallons total? Anyone think this is really small? We dont catch a ton of big bass here in PA. Probably 2 to 3 avg and 4 to 6 big avg. If I had a rider and we each caught our 5 max (10 total) would this handle 10 fish? Thanks for the help!

Hey Guys, As I said in my other post, I am looking to purchase a Nitro Z7 at the end of this month. Before I do, I need a little help. I was told there is a 2 Bank Onboard Battery Charger for the 24Volt trolling motor and than there is a cranking battery for the Merc 150 Opti. Why is there not a three bank charger on the boat to make sure the cranking battery is charged too? Is it just because they want me to upgrade to the 3 bank? All help is appreciated! TIGHT LINES!

Hey Guys....I need a little more help. I found a 2014 Skeeter left over. I am going to look at it hopefully this week. Two questions: 1) Compared to Nitro....what are your thoughts? 2) The Skeeter comes with a 175 HP Yamaha. The Nitro a 15o Merc OptiMAx. Which is a better engine? I heard good things about the Merc but nothing about the Yamaha. THANKS

Ok...gotta say I really like the Nitro Z7, 18 Feet 8 inches in length, the Whole package, decked out with a 24volt Minkota troller 70#, three batteries, cover, 150Merc Optimax, Two Lowrence HDS 7Chirps Bow and Console. 3 Bench Seats. 2 Pedastal Seats total cost $31,000 I got on the Stratus 186 and 189 and can tell you the deck felt flimsy compared to the Nitro. Just my opinion but the Nitro felt a lot more solid too me and a better build. Same package for the Stratos 189 was $33,000. Pretty sure I'm ordering the Nitro at the end of August. The Nitro Z7 is priced at Bass ProShops National Pricing with a Merc 150 Optimax. I didn't realize that was high...I thought it was a no haggle price nationwide right? Or are you saying they Nitro ischarging too much for that model? I think the same size Stratos is going for 23k

How about a Stratos? Seems to come in below the Nitro in cost.

I need some help. I can only store a boat in my garage that is less than 21 feet. I have looked at new boats and there are a few dealers close to me in PA. I saw a Tracker ProTeam 175 TXW, A Lowes Stinger 175 and than a Nitro Z 7. I'm taking a boat loan and didn't want to spend as much as the Nitro but when I saw it I loved it but just not sure I can justify it or if it is the right boat for me. I fish small lakes in my neighborhood and that's really it. The Nitro is fiberglass and I have only owned a small 16 foot aluminum. I fish a few times a week on about 3 to 4 local lakes with electric only hp. After I get one of these boats, I plan on hitting Blue Marsh Lake which is about 45minutes from my house that has unlimited hp. I always here of people fishing the flats in the upper Chesapeake too but have never been there. I am assuming if I ever go there, the only boat out of the three that could handle it is the Nitro but I'm not sure that is big enough either. So anyway, I am looking for a good bass boat in the range of $17k to 23k. The Nitro is about 28k. Any advise or if there is another boat I should be looking at please let me know. I have really battled myself here as most guys at the local tourneys seem to have trackers and Some Rangers. Thanks for any help!
