Which Is More Effective In Your Opinion??
I will, but how does a worm mimic the forage? Have you ever seen a worm in a lake? I have not. I personally do not think i have to match the forage exactly. Thats why i can catch bass on 6-8 inch trout swim baits when there are no trout and the bass are eating mostly panfish. I think it is more about the way a bass thinks: if it has an easy meal, it will eat it If i seem angry i promise you i am not..one of the downfalls of the internet.

Which Is More Effective In Your Opinion??
I get what you guys are saying, but i have never seen a worm at the bottom of a lake or had a bass throw one up…and yet they are possibly the most effective bass lure of all time

Which Is More Effective In Your Opinion??
Hey guys- I remember reading this topic somewhere on another site but i can not seem to find it now, When targeting big or bigger than average bass, do you believe it is more important to have a long slender lure or a shorter bulkier one? Example…would you pull out a 13 inch ribbon tail worm or opt for a 7 inch senko?? I'm curious to see what everyone thinks….

"finesse" Fishing Stained Water
Hey guys! As the title says, i had a few questions about finesse fishing in Stained water: Is it possible? I always hear that in stained water you need flash or lots of vibration..is it true? and also, would techniques like drop shot and "spy baiting" work in stained water?? Any other tips/comments are welcome! P.S- I mostly fish stained water and i was wondering if it would be worth it to invest in an UL rod and reel combo…what do you think?

Fanatics
I'm still very young but I am a young die hard detroit red wings fan!

Ms Slammer
thanks for the advice! I'm just looking to get the biggest bass possible and I was just thinking the twelve inch would maybe get rid of those 11-15 Inchers that try to take it down

Ms Slammer
I am trying to decide between buying the nine inch or twelve inch... I know the nine inch is great but will the 12 inch draw in the bigger bass?

I'm Just Not Getting The Jig
yes, I usually catch bass on a Texas rig in the same spots. I am fishing about six feet of water and it is a weedy bottom with stumps I alternate between a 3/8oz and 1/2oz jig

Your Season
I have learned the most about angling in one year than i ever have before, thanks to bass resource! This season i bought lots of new equipment and really learned how to become a more successful angler altogether. I dove headfirst into big swim baits which has been paying off and has rewarded me with the biggest bass of my season( a five pound 9oz beauty) and has allowed me to hoop and unfortunately lose what i believe were my new personal bests. Oh well! I also have discovered what is possibly the best pond in the world(Ok maybe i am exaggerating a little!) and i can't wait to fish it next season or this winter even! Many trips i have read about a new technique on the forum, and tried it out. The results are usually very good! One day that stood out to me was when i caught over 20 bass including the 5 pound nine ounce on a homemade 8 inch swim bait! I LOVE BASS FISHING!

I'm Just Not Getting The Jig
Ok I will! I probably just haven't detected the bites, do you fish them when there is a ripple on the water?

I'm Just Not Getting The Jig
All the jigs I have are grass jigs, I even find it hard to feel bottom in light breeze.. Should I only use them when it is calm?

I'm Just Not Getting The Jig
I did forget to add that i do have lots of success swimming a jig, just not hopping it on the bottom, which is the way i see most guys catching the real big ones. And also Mark, my jig setup is not ideal by any means. It is a St. croix Mh fast rod with a diawa pro caster and 20lb braid. I have some north star jigs and i use rage craw trailers.

I'm Just Not Getting The Jig
Hey guys, As the title says, I just am not getting the jig no matter what I do. I try pitching it, casting it, flipping it and more. I have not gotten a single bite and have spent some money on good quality jigs and trailers. Do you have any tips? Anything you need to know I will tell you! Can you only fish the jig when it is calm? Should I not fish it from a moving boat? I can't feel what the jig is doing on the bottom it just feels like the line is slack.... I need help! It's been 4 months and i still haven't caught anything except for muck and weeds Thanks

How To Have Success On A Lake When You Don't Have A Map???
Hey guys, A lot of the lakes around here, even some of the larger ones, do not have topographic maps! I catch plenty of fish on these lakes, but i feel like it might be luck. When i do not have a map, i just look for shoreline structure and weedbeds in the clearer water (we have tons of ridiculously good looking weedbeds). I am basically fishing completely blind. How do you guys approach a lake without a map? Is it just trial and error? I do not have a fish finder. I realize this is probably the problem, but i can't afford one right now. Any help is appreciated! P.S this topic is more important now because i am just starting to step into swimbait fishing and i realize that swimbait fishing is all about making a few cast to high percentage spots

Fall Time...thinking Big???
Big swimbaits if you have any, big spinnerbaits should work well if retrieved slowly. You could also try some of the larger suspending jerkbaits... Just some thoughts

Hudd 68's
I almost always take the pictures from my IPhone, from there I then email It to myself and it will allow me to pick what size and I always pick the closest size to 750kb I think it is(make sure you stay under 750kb). Then when I get home I go on my computer and open it in my email, save It to my computer then upload it here!

Where Would You Fly?
I Have been to Alaska for a fishing trip, I would definitely choose either Argentina for golden dorado or Brazil for peacock bass. I am positive i will get to destinations in the US for bass fishing ( have been to florida) now just California!
