stimpy17, the guy i'm buying it from said it was an "applebee" (sp?)...not sure what year it is...i know it's going to be a project but i want to see the finished product and be proud that i did it. I'm going to have a lot of help, my cousin owns his own "custom rod shop" so he has a paint booth that he's going to let me use to paint it. I'm thinking about painting the boat Dark Blue Interlux Brightside. BASSINAL...was it pretty stable in the front with the deck on there?

Alrighty then...well i've gone every where looking for etching primer and no one seems to know what i'm talking about. Is it called something else more technical that they might know of? I found the interlux paint but no etching primer...i'm lost

just wondering how far to put the decks from the top of the boat? someone mentioned on another thread 4-5 inches...is that correct?

Well i finally got down to the guys house where the boat is that i will be buying...it's a mess. haha but i know that i can clean it up and it won't even look like the same boat, he's asking $300 for it but i'm going to see if he'll take $200... So here we go, here's the beauty in all her glory... What do you think? lol well i know what you're all thinking but i see potential and i can't beat the price...it has a trailer too that needs painted. I was wondering what i had to do to paint the trailer? I'm pretty sure it's steel and not aluminum so do i still have to use etching primer or just primer made for steel? Here is a picture of the bottom...

I also need to know about wiring the trolling motor...i don't have a TM yet but i will be putting one on this boat. Is there anything special i have to have like a fuse box or does the trolling motor just hook up to a marine battery? sorry for all the ?'s...very anxious to get going on this thing! thanks again- Josh

Hey guys, this boat is being abused in my brother's inlaws garage. We went by today to take a look at it to see if it was worth buying. He's asking $1000 for it the way it is now(motor, tm, everything included). I checked to see if the steering cables work and they do. He said it ran the last time he used it, the trolling motor is a minn kota but it looks as old as the boat. The boat is a 1985 16' fisher marine boat...take a look at the pictures and tell me if it's worth $1000....thanks - josh

hey punisher, i live in lafayette and i've been out 3 or 4 times to a couple private lakes. So far i've only had one bite...one. Although it's frustrating i know that warmer weather is hopefully headed our way, although it seems to be getting colder as we go...kinda sucks living in Indiana. I just got home from spring break in virginia and it was 70-80 all 8 days i was there. I miss it already! Good luck - Josh 8-)
