  1. Never Caught A Smallmouth....

    I have never caught a smallmouth bass. I have lived in Wisconsin and Alabama, and I'm 47 years old. I always thought I would catch one by accident (while fishing), but that hasn't happened. I am planning a vacation to the mountains of Tenn or NC at Thankgiving, and was wondering if anyone knew of a lake or river near/in the mountains area that would give me a good chance of a catch (anything that would be a legal fish). I was thinking Franklin, N.C., and the little tennessee river. Any input or guides would be appreciated.
