New Rod/reel Combo
Just got my new rod/reel combo.....i've been bass fishing for about a year now first time i fished for a bass was june of 2012 (live on long island so that means prob have only fished for bass for 3 months total. I am now gearing up for the start of my full first season i was previously fishing a bass pro shops trigger rod and a bass pro shops extreme baitcaster (green and gold model) which i got for a combined $100 dollars. I have since broken the rod as on my last fish of the season my rod snapped and i have thrown out the entire combo (horrible reel ) so i ordered a new combo an Abu Garcia Veritas (micro guide series) in 7ft medium (previous was a 6'6" medium but i was advised 7 foot is more versatile) and a bass pro shops pro qualifier bait caster in 7.1:1 have it strung up with 12lb yo - zuri hybrid (previously used 12lb trilene xl mono) just wondering if i made a good decision and wondering what my next rod/reel should be and what line? I fish mostly every style (weighted and unweighted plastics, shaky head, drop shot, crainkbaits, jigs, swim jigs, frogs. spooks, poppers, torpedoes)

Favorite Fall Fishing Lures/ Techniques
Its that time of year with summer in the rear view the air is getting cooler by the day and so is the water. As bass begin to move into deeper water to prepare for the winter the fall is one of my favorite times to fish. I have been having great luck on Senkos, lipless cranks, square bills, and my favorite weighted creature baits (Berkley Havoc pit boss, strike king rodents) so i ask you, what has worked for you in the past and what is working for you right now?

New Rod/reel Combo
Has anyone used the new 3rd gen Revo Sx or S? Apparently they have improved the breaking system of the SX (still magnetic though ) but if everyone is saying the S is better then i will definitely trust your opinion.....also the Revo S is only available in a 6.4:1 gear ratio which is only 26 inches per turn in contrast to the SX which is available in a 7.1:1 and has 29 inches per turn the SX is also lighter. idk im stuck

New Rod/reel Combo
Ive been bass fishing for about a year now and am planning on getting a new rod/reel combo. So far i've been using a 6' 6" Medium Bass pro shops graphite series rod with a bass pro shops extreme bait caster. This combo has done me justice but the reel has become less and less usable and is on the verge of breaking. i have been missing hookups constantly because my reel will just stop working. Im planning on getting a Abu Garcia Micro Guide Veritas in 7" Medium Power as a reel i was thinking the new 3rd gen Revo Sx in a 7.1:1 ratio would be a perfect match for his rod. Now i am wondering what line i should be using. I mostly throw un weighted soft plastics (Senkos, super flukes, etc.), weighted soft plastics usually with a 1/16 or 1/8 ounce bullet weight (rage craws, havoc pit boss, etc), light jigs (1/4,3/8), swim jigs, crank baits (lipless and square bill), spinnerbaits, poppers, spooks, and frogs. I was thinking of using P-Line fluoroclear but have yet to try it and have heard mixed reviews, obviously fluorocarbon would be nice but might not work well for my topwater applications. I now ask you fellow bass resource forumeers to aid me in my quest for the perfect all around line....what do you think?
